That's really poor.
Long may have made some vital contributions over the years, but overall he's been an average, bit-part player. Using one example where a player saved us doesn't win the argument.

Terminal Boardom Is it Shane's fault that Coppell picks him?

He's played reasonably well recently. Cut him some slack.

Really?
Surely playing for a lower league club would make him even worse?![]()
Or possibly not.
Did Mooney play yesterday?
I've forgotten about the FA Cup already

Terminal Boardom Is it Shane's fault that Coppell picks him? What has just dawned on me is that I do not see the purpose of a reserve side. With so many players going out on loan that must suggest that reserve team football is not competitively up to the mark. I see two options:
1. Scrap the reserves
2. Get the "reserves" to play more competitively.
Or is it a case that it is all too easy for your journeyman pro to pick up the x grand a week for nothing more than getting splinters from sitting on a bench?

One huge problem with the reserves is the number of games. We've only played 6 reserve games this season, for example, and some of them have been against part-time teams.
