Genuine Poll - Minimum season expectations

So, taking out any debate on transfers - what would you seriously accept as a minimum this season.

FWIW - Mid table for me - anything less than that would be constitue a backward step in my book when you consider what we have achieved over the past few seasons.

There has to be a separation of final result and how we got there.

Take last season - play offs GREAT, coming 4th in a 3 horse race LOL

I still believe we are going up, but decided a play off spot is more realistic. Optimism!

Surviving to fight another day and another season next year would be the fraught, but minimum acceptable outcome, a learning curve that takes us in to mid-table would be desirable, anything else will be a bonus this season. Realism is often a bitter pill!

I want play-offs, but I would be happy with mid table, during the transitional stage we seem to be in

im not sure if you can measure relegation as a level of success or not...

however,

none of this would get my vote.

From where we are right now, i'd accept staying up.

To have to make that statement two years after we finished eighth in the premiership is a testimony to the triumph of the brick by brick approach adopted by this club.

Anything less than the play offs will be a failure, SC managed it, so his succesor should be able to, and i have fears, but if it all clicks into place I can see those turn into the play offs.

I see your point so solid crew, but SC, and I am a big fan of his, had our full prem squad.
With the names who have left, you cant expect the same from our deplited team.

The start we've had - avoid relegation.
If we improve to what has been suggested, play-offs.
I'm not setting my heart on anything, though.

The poll says mimimum expectation, I'd expect us not to finish in the bottom half, but I'd hope we'd finish in the play-offs. Having said that, I'd be quite happy to finish in midtable. Then next season, hopefully, we'll go all out for promotion.

Genius response - cutting, witty, dry, accurate...it's got the lot!

survival for me

but to be fair i saw enough improvements in general on saturday to believe we will start to pull this round and finish midtable

if rodgers gets his transfers i believe a late playoff push may well be achieveable

if he is the messiah instead of a very naughty boy,and turns this team of kids into the greatest team we have ever seen, then we may even go up automatically

so, anywhere then
