Brian is going no where whether he is made permanant manager or not.

Rightfully so. A great servant to the club, but clearly not the right man to manage us.

Don't think there's anything clear about it tbh. Two ok ish results and one awful one don't prove a lot.

Although I'm leaning towards agreeing given his failure to make any significant changes to Rodgers' selection policy.

At least he has the guts to accept the fact that the performance was unacceptable, and should never, ever, take place again.

A true reflection of his abilities will be seen on Saturday.

I think that's a good shout. He really really needs to make some changes and pick players that compliment each other rather than the mismatched shit on display today.

Who is going to want to come to a club that is going down, will pay the smallest wages in the Championship and have a amanger who no one has heard of and is obviously the cheap choice?

Send this clown back to being a scout, continue to scout sh*t players (the last 7 he scouted have been a great success) and get some one in who knows what they are f*cking doing.

We don't pay the smallest wages in the championship.
Even Derby could attract a manager when they were the worst team in Premier League history.
Plymouth could attract a manager and are still in a worse position than us.

I dunno - maybe we just didn't get the rub of the green(s) or something.

Truth be told - there have been too many unacceptable performances in the last year, and sadly this probably won't be the last of them.

Luckily, it will be the last of them in the last year.

And as the person in front of me today said, no sane manager would ruin their reputation for Reading this season.

Are you kidding? Situations like this are how reputations are made. Ian Dowie has built an entire career on the basis of half a season with Palace.

What has Derby being the worst team in the Prem got to do with bringing back a manager 6 months later, a manager who despite cutting his teeth with a non league side had no football league experience and was as much a decision of the heart over anything else

Plymouth brought back a former player with zero managing experience in proper football

Not sure they are the best examples of clubs proving we can get anyone half decent

Anyone who thinks Brian McDermott should be the next RFC manager is crazy.

We need to appoint a manager who has connections so that we can bring in loan players to stabilize this squad that has been assembled by Rodgers which is not good enough. Whoever is appointed should only be given an 18 month contract with an option to extend should they keep us up this season.

We need to get a proper manager in for the start of the new year. But I'd have Brian as assistant manager.
