These are :

In person : At the STAR Unit behind the East Stand at the Madejski Stadium (during normal opening hours, from Tues 20th Feb)

By Paypal : Donations should be sent to "STAR.Campaigns@btinternet.com". All donations will be acknowledged.

By Post : Cheques/Postal Orders should be made payable to "Funde Cruz" and sent to :

STAR
PO Box 1871
SANDHURST
BERKS
GU47 7BP

We'll also publish a running total of money raised on the STAR website - for all Paypal and postal donations, please let us know if you would like your name to appear as a contributor.

I don't distrust STAR for one minute, but I think it makes things a little cloudy to have paypal funds paid into a STAR account for forwarding to the charity.

In the interest of keeping things appearing as clean as possible could the charity themselves not provide a paypal account themselves?

That was my initial thought. but unfortunately not - they just don't have that sort of system and it would be way too complicated for them to setup.

A do appreaciate the potential difficulties of this, which is why all Paypal donations will be acknowledged by e-mail and on the STAR website soi they're done publicly. But i feel it is important that there is some method of donating electronically for UDLC, and this is the best we can come up with in the time frame.

Thank you for organising this. How about we also have a collection in buckets on a match day as suggested elsewhere?

Working on it as that means we need licenses and I think most match days are booked up for collections (although will try for the Man Utd replay!), but I wanted to get something in place that wasm't dependant upon people attanding matches. This has also been in the Telegraph and the news is spreading, so I want to be able to let people anywhere contribute easily.

Now confirmed that STAR will be running a bucket collection for Ulises's foundation before the Manchester United match next week.

If anyone would like to assist with this please PM me. (And no, you don't get any Royalty points - you get the warm glow of having done something worthwhile.)

Also, thanks for those who have donated so far - as of this evening we have had Paypal donations of £130.

With the upcoming quiz night, would STAR consider donating some of the money towards the De La Cruz foundation? Would be good if both the Royal families and the effort shown by De La Cruz would be rewarded.

Sorry about the deay getting this figure together.

The bucket collection raised just over GBP 524. We had Paypal donations totalling GBP 140, which is a total of just over GBP 664.

STAR is going to make this up to a round thousand pounds as are donation, and we have also collected cheques to a total of GBP 235 whcih we'll hand over at the same time.

Many thanks to all who contributed.

There's a 'Royals' fans raise cash for De La Cruz charity' article and picture of Jon Keen & Co on Page 4 of the Reading Post - WELL DONE STAR! The attendance was 23,821 so pity fans could only manage an average of 2p each.

Can we all get a visual aid to show others that we've contributed.
