Shame Hummel don't make many football kits anymore, always thought their efforts looked pretty decent.

MmmMonsterMunch The away shirt is exactly the same as Coventry then...

that's pretty much because Puma, Umbro, Addidas and Nike have one basic design of kit for all teams it's a shame because it would be nice to see some variation in kit design.

Seems to me that QPR and Reading have swapped the style of hoops that were used in the 1970s. They had broad ones and we had narrow. Would much prefer narrower hoops but at least they go all the way around. Away looks pretty decent yet and would improve with blue shorts. Stiil it is a vast improvement on the Victorian Sailor-Boy nonsense

I don't particularly like it, but most importantly for me it has hoops. And whilst I don't agree with the supposed problem of the hoops making the players names difficult to read (that was because the club decided to use black lettering), I suppose the broader hoops will accommodate the names only appearing over one colour. Of course, this has been done in the season that we return to red lettering, which would show up over thinner hoops anyway!

The sleeves do look stupidly big - much better on the away - but I don't think they've done themselves any favours with that main photo; so i'll be interested to see it with letters and number and actually being worn by the players.

RoyalBlue The home kit is complete and utter shyte! Perfect perhaps for QPR but awful for the true hoops.

And those awful blue bands (American obese hoops) are mroe at home on a sodding rugby shirt than a football kit.

Those responsible at Puma and the club should be shot - utter morons.

F*ck off Puma, shit designs and shit quality.

Bring back Mizuno!

Puma did pretty much the same thing with last seasons Newcastle home shirt they ditched the stripes and had a mainly black shirt with one broad white stripe on the front now they have done the same to Reading's home shirt.

Surely the club get offered templates, along with what can and can't be changed in terms of pattern and colour..

So for the home shirt we went for the design template same as Watford, Greenock etc etc.. It should then be up to the club what colours they put where, and where the badge goes?

So the club decided badge in the middle, red on the sleeve, and then thick hoops.. Look at Greenock.. Same template, but they decided to go with smaller hoops..

I personally think with more and thinner hoops and a badge not in the middle, this could have been one of our great kits..

Jay, can you mock up what it would have looked like with a normal badge and more hoops..? That would have been a dream kit, along with white shirts and socks..

Why does the Keeper kit have a felt badge, yet the others are stitched? :S

EDIT: Also note how the away kit sleeves aren't ridiculously baggy like the home ones...

That's brilliant, cheers for that. I honestly think that's a quality shirt

Or at least it would be without the red bit

Gotta admit, especially with the name and numbers, it's definitely growing on me.

I really don't get the hate for the red shoulder patch.

The red shoulder flash gives it that Prada look

Definitely growing on me all the time. Red flash really works in conjunction with the red numbers.

But most of all I like how the premier league lion on the numbers looks like it is part of the kit design.

I think the red is great, something different and goes well with the red numbers..

It's more the bands rather than hoops in my eyes.
