mr_number I think they just wanted to make sure that everyone who has a reasonable number of points (i.e. 300+) had the chance to get a ticket, which seems fair enough.

windermere_royal Interesting the club are not releasing any ticket sold information, tragic that we won`t sell out for our first SF in 88 years, the people of Reading really don`t deserve a team.

Hoop Blah Their comments about 100k members, not going on general sale and 300+ points being guaranteed a ticket have possibly worked against them as well. Those who might've waited to get tickets with their plus 1s and 2s under normal circumstances might now have been panicked into buying singles in the first wave of tickets only to find the current situation which isn't ideal.

Davezk I was willing to spend £100 on 2 tickets but since as a member (not ST holder), I can't get a +1. I don't really want to go by myself as rather make a day of it with the missus in London.
The club won't sell out and when I see 2 empty seats next to each other on TV I'll be so annoyed because I was willing to spend the money to be there and the club denied me that opportunity.

Norfolk Royal Don't think we should panic about not selling out just yet. I reckon they'll all go. Was in phone queue for 20 mins this morning so still plenty being bought obvs.
Also, would it not have been the case that season ticket holders tend to sit with friends who are also season ticket holders. So one of the STH's would have phoned and got tickets for all their friends quoting the STH numbers.
If that is the case it would mean that mates are sitting together would it not?

With the fall off in STH over the last few years I think it's a fair bet to say that there are plenty of ex-STH who go or have gone to games with STH. In my group we've gone from about 20 STH when the stadium opened to 7 or 8. There's at least 5 or 6 that still come along on a regular basis though.
There are also lots of family, and especially kids, who do the same. I know quite a few STH who won't be taking their kids because of the lack of plus 1s. These are the kids that will be our fanbase for years to come and their missing out.

I know a few people who panicked and bought their tickets early but if they had known they would have waited and took their kids along, who were only fairly new fans and didn't fall into the "300 pts" bracket

If they haven't sold all tickets in a couple days, I wonder if they will give members with a large number of points a +1 or +2.
