Lots of people enjoy it. IF that is so then we have no moral right to dictate to them.

Each to their own I suspect. Perhaps those who want change are more likely to be vocal than those who are content? FFS let this drop [BTW I don't join in].

Oh I agree. But it doesn't need the music. If they don't blast the music out it also doesn't ruin the celebrations of those who don't enjoy it.. if you get my meaning.

At least half the ground was still doing it by the sixth.

The entire east did it for the first three.

But I can go mental even if the music is played. And frankly anyone who says their enjoyment is ruined by a poxy sound clip is a mug.

Piss off, it comes on so loud that it can't help but jar my immediate celebration. I can ignore it after a couple of seconds by then the spontaneity is lost.

You don't understand the meaning of "Jar" in that context?

Go read a dictionary.

Jar 1. to have a harshly unpleasant or perturbing effect on one's nerves, feelings, thoughts, etc.: The sound of the alarm jarred.
2. to produce a harsh, grating sound; sound discordantly.
3. to vibrate audibly; rattle: The window jarred in the frame.
4. to vibrate or shake.
5. to conflict, clash, or disagree.

Certainly not, except it's not the ONLY thing I wrote and considering that you felt the need to insult me it was entirely justifiable response.

I used to like tom hark after we scored, got the whole stadium dancing....

...but now i feel like a right tw@ doing it, and even worse, if i don't do it, i look like a right old muppet with everyone else doing it around me!

-THE NOVELTY HAS WORN OFF!-

Going mental aint as easy in a seated stadium, but it's got to be better than tom hark!

No insult. I merely used an apposite noun.

There's no such thing as an apposite noun. There's an apposition however.

Assuming that is what you are referring too..

But I can go mental even if the music is played. And frankly anyone who says their enjoyment is ruined by a poxy sound clip is a mug.

"Sound clip" is the only apposition in this sentence. The insult I refer to is the assertion that anyone who finds their celebration disrupted by music is a "mug", which is flanked by an indefinite article and therefore by definition is not an apposition.

Are you done trying to look intelligent now?

apposite
adjective FORMAL
suitable and right for the occasion:
an apposite phrase/quotation/remark
The film starts in a graveyard, an apposite image for the decaying society which is the theme of the film.

(from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

You may know something of grammatical construction, however, you lack the vocabulary to enable you to fully enjoy your knowledge.

By definition you prove that you qualify as a mug....
mug (STUPID PERSON)
noun [C] MAINLY UK INFORMAL
a person who is stupid

In addition I would like to add that 'too' is the wrong spelling. I believe you mean 'to'?

So difficult to spell two / too / to [delete as appropriate] letter words don't you find?

BTW the sentence construction is also erroneous. In the context 'to' is a preposition and consequently you should have written something along the lines of :
'Assuming it is that to which you refer'....

MUG.

Right, so that stops it being an insult how? There's nothing in the dictionary that makes an apposite exempt from "insult status".

Also "Are you done trying to look intelligent" in simpler terms means "This is a pointless pissing contest stop it". Not "Please please please keep trying get it higher it would really make my day"

It's not a finished sentence, you may notice it goes into a quote.

and if you really want to keep this going

[quote]—[b]Usage note The often heard but misleading “ruleâ€
