Tutti Frutti Given the increased income that the club would have next year in the Premiership (around 50m from TV), and the - to date - lack of any significant investment in the team over and above championship levels, any rise at all would seem most unwise to me.
Remember that this season is worth about an extra 20m to the club. More than enough to pay for the extension.
I agree entirely - but Mr M is a businessman who is seeking to maximise his returns. Indded a cut in price would be fair as the promised signings which the huge rises were to fund have failed to materialise...... But the window may prove me wrong.
