Royal Lady There were lots of people around me who don't usually sit there - I suspect it's more to do with the fact that ST holders were only given one day to renew their ST seat - many were too late and other people then picked the better seats as they were on offer.

They gave STH's until Weds morning at 10am in the end due to the number of "comments" they received. My mate didn't think he could get his seat on Tuesday afternoon but managed to get it first thing Weds morning.

I noticed that one or two of the season ticket holders around me didn't turn up on Tuesday. I was also embrassed at the amount of tickets we sold. For a play-off semi final i would of expected a sell out and a huge demand for tickets. It's proves the saying ' When the going gets tough, the plastic get going'.

Oh yes, that well known saying.

LOL @ people who get "embarrassed" by attendance figures or by the actions of their fellow fans.

Not a lot more embarrassing than the apostrophe crime you have just committed!

To be honets, I can't see why it is an embarrassment at all. We had plenty of fans in that evening. It is unsurprising that quite a few stayed away; some will have saved the money for the final (tough on them); some will be struggling at the moment (note to self, there is a recession on); some will have decided that recent form indicated a disappointing evening; and, finally, it is personal choice whether you go or not. I debated the issue and decided I had to go, I was delighted to be there for about 50 minutes of play, and then Burnley scored against the run of play and we collapsed. After that I had to keep persuading myself that it was the right thing to stay there and suffer.

I can completely understand why some people will have found a better use of their money, and that doesn't necessarily make them less of a supporter.
