Ideal
melonhead nope. we spent 5 million in fees, and we do know something about the extra signing on fees/wages paid for guthrie and pog.

In that case, show me proof that we gave Guthrie and Poggrebnyak a total of £10M in signing on fees. Show me that evidence please.

i cant. its top secret, and im not allowed

Anton Zigarevich Stood by his word

by Daniel_ElmPark1986 » 11 Apr 2013 10:46

When Anton took over and we got promotion he said we do things the Reading way see how things go , if needed to step in he will and to be fair he gave Brian Mcdermott 90% of the season !! pissed me off when people was bitching about it he should of gone in october for me . Brian had the funds available , his tactics clearly never worked, way too much trust in championship players cost him.Now on a positive note yes it looks like we are going down but on the front of taking the club forward he is in my eyes.Nigel Adkins will make Anton's vision possible, looking on the recent RFC post about players prove there worth meaning there is going to be few players gone in summer and will be a exciting summer for us and i do think Nigel will get instant promotion back he will build a better squad and we are going to see some exciting football, looking at his record i reckon he can make us a top 10 premier league club in 3-4 seasons.Oh and btw The Reading way has gone move with the times people saying they prefer championship football is bollox if we was sat in 10th or 8th we'd be buzzing . Don't hate just voicing my opinion

As the new boy around here, I can just say WOW. I'm not sure I'm ever going to get to this level.

Brian made the same mistake Coppell made, loyalty which is no bad thing but if they aren't good enough then you have to move them on. If as presumed Adkins goes for a more passing style then i cant see may of players staying - kanu is about the only player capable of passing properly

if pearce is still not signing then sell him as I don't rate him anyway

Won't be able to sell Pearce as he's out of contract in the summer.

EDIT: Though I think we're due some money tbd by a tribunal due to his age.

nothing ive seen of kanu says hes any better or worse than our other players in this regard.

probably in the top 5 passers, but not the top one, so ive no idea why you single him out as the ONLY one who can give a ball to another player in hoops

Very interesting stats there. Particularly the top three:

1. Jay Tabb
2. Danny Guthrie
3. Mikele Leigertwood

I see the analysis of the 2012 accounts are on the STAR website again with some interesting insights into the differences now TSI have arrived.

Not what I was expecting with an £11m loss even after players sales.

This seasons's PL money + next season's parachute payment of £47m will cover that.

Unless...

Next seasons parachute payment of £47m? I don't think so!

Total parachute payments of £48M over 4 years. Years 1 = £16M, Year 2 = £16M, Year 3 = £8M, Year 4 = £8M.

From Year 2 (for us) the clubs coming down are likely to have bigger parachute payments because of the increase to the TV deal.
