Does anyone know how many season tickets we sold?

Bit premature really as ST are are on sale for quite some time yet. No official renewals figures yet but I reckon final sales will be close to a sell out again once new STH are included.

The club said new applications would be based on Royalty Points so not sure how a waiting list would fit. Won't they just annouce sales open to people with x points like they do for away tickets ?

Well an unofficial waiting list of sorts I suppose. Last season there were around 6000 unsuccesful applications who fell short on points one would guess. If there were any non-renewals this lot would snap them up.

I'd heard 600 missed out but I can;t remember who told me so may be imagining it ! If your 6000 figure is correct then it would seem likely we'll sell out again. For all those who give up there will be plenty who didn't even apply last season but now want to get involved.

They may have people waiting for a season ticket but they are not running a waiting list,

They open for new applications on July 2nd (not sure for how long yet, hasn't been announced)

They will then allocate based on loyalty points, most points first

New Season Ticket opportunities
If any new Season Tickets become available,
applications will be processed from Monday 2nd
July. Please note we will not accept applications
prior to this date, nor will we hold a waiting list.
New Season Tickets will be sold to existing
Member Card holders, based on the number of

If we're close to selling all our season tickets, I think the club should extend the stadium.

I reckon another 12,000 or so should do it. What does anybody else think?

Is there a waiting list ?

As I understand it any waiting list for STs only lasts for the remainder of the season - so they may well have been one for 2006/07 but that will not continue into 2007/08 and any available STs will be allocated according to Royalty points and if the demand exceeds supply there will be a waiting list for any STs returned during the season.

This could result in a lot of single seat sales as a large number of purchasers may have to wait for the lower points band so that they can buy seats together.

I'd hope they would set a much lower level for sales, and ideally say that if you buy as a group then one member of the group must have the required points but others just have to have (say) 50 points.

Yes in principle, but I think the points values required will be far, far, lower than those sort of numbers. To get 500, 400 etc people would probably have to already have a ST.

So expect it to be more like 100, 90, 80, and so on, but it won't be as obvious and regimented as you say - they'll probably get applications in for a week or so and then and sort them into points order, selling the first seat to the applicant with most points and so on.

From what I have been that's what they did last year, and in fact then the number of people who applied and didn't actually get a ST was in single figures - a reasonably large number were sold to new people with no points at all.

while the actual seat itself is not £1000 it does cost roughly £1000 to put each seat in a stadium

That wouldn't work. They will have to wait until all the applications are in and then determine the cut off point, ie minimum royalty points. They can't work that out until the new applications are closed.

It could work...

They know how many people have x points
They know how many of them have either renewed already
They know how many ST are available.
So they could work out some bands, bearing in mind that just becasue they say tickets are on sale to people with x points it doesn't guarantee that you will get a ticket.

If they wait until they have all the apps in then they don;t need cut off points - they just put the apps in points order and sell from the top until they have no tickets left....
