Crazy they want to expand the World Cup when already looks like there are way too many teams just acting like a fluffer to the bigger countries

You have to play and beat teams like France if you actually want to win the competition, so I'm not stressed about it.

Talk already of Walker coping with Mbappe, I think the greater concern will be with Shaw trying to cope with the pace of Dembele.
A tasty fixture to come now that the competition starts in earnest and some really good fixture make-ups to look forward to.

Hopefully our squad doesn't get too decimated with further personal issues.

Orion1871 I wonder what clubs fans started off SCRs "latest rumour".

Both emanated from a West London club and I'm not talking about Brentford.
Time will tell what the substance is but I thought they were worth sharing especially as the website rarely comes up with any such stuff presumably as very few on here have connections with any clubs .

That is a shame and my reason for joining nearly 20 years ago was , because of living away, I had hoped to get news of what might be going on at Reading however nobody ever seems to know anything which may in part be because so few posters live there.

That was good, very good for the last hour.

Must not start slowly against France, they will make us pay.

England’s attacking options are as good as any at this tournament. Are they good enough against the strongest sides defensively? Time will tell but irrespective Southgate won’t get carried away. He will remain calm and composed and by and large make the right selections.

Zip Where are all of the Southgate moaners?

Exactly. Where are they? Three weeks ago he was the most unpopular man in the country.

The pundits need to change the record on Bellingham ‘talks well’. Not every football player is thick, it’s quite condescending.

Yeah, tend to agree.

There’s nothing to moan about.

If we can start a game positively that would be a plus, but let’s not be churlish.

To be pedantic, 16 will. They currently plan on adding an additional round of 32 games. So 32 sides will still get a minimum of 3 games. The "extra 16" won't.

England more than decent once they remembered they were allowed to play football.

At least Germany can get out pf the group stage … maybe

Still a major shambles
