Have always preferred the little man of the two but how they have fared in one competition late in their careers proves nothing.

Ronaldo is two years older and has played in competitive leagues throughout his career.

I do wonder if Messi would be having such a good World Cup if he had still been playing for Barcelona for the last year and a half. The French league has probably saved his legs a bit. It's allowed him to play at an easier level, and take certain games off if he needs to.

Admittedly Mbappe is getting kicked around a bit. But players feet wouldn't hurt so much when they get tackled if this trend of having a bit of sock instead of a proper tongue on boots went away.
