Why is Phillips still on? Absolutely going to cost us this game.

Should never have been in the squad. Doesn't play for his club so is obviously desperate to make an impression for England. His over enthusiastic approach would have been punished by a stricter ref.

Get in Harry. Top centre forward play.

Shame England couldn't do this 2 years ago in the Euros final

Needs a January move for his career and a place in the squad

Bellingham to do a Rooney/Beckham and get sent off, ruining our chances in a knockout game.

It's kind of a good thing that nowadays I don't see it as a dream. I see winning thr Euros as an expectation. We have the squad to do it, other sides will fear us.

Who's the competition? Germany are useless at the moment. Portugal are a bit of an unknown, I don't know if Ronaldo will win games on his own now. Spain possibly. And Italy look a shadow without that legendary centre back pairing

The only side I can see as genuine competition are France.

Goalkeepers:
all pretty average
Defenders:
- John Stones has been outstanding at City,
- Walker and Trippier are good but both are currently 33,
- the rest are probably in the top end of average to decent
Midfielders:
- Bellingham on current form is probably the best player in the world right now
- Declan Rice is a £100M player
- Can Henderson still do it?
- Can Phillips get a game?
Attackers
- the area where we have the most
- Kane, one of the best centre-forwards in the world
- Madison is currently in great form
- Saka, the best right-sided player in the league
- Grealish, £100M on the left, nailing the position at City
- Rashford on his day is the most productive player but goes missing
- Foden, baller

Yeah France are the biggest danger, they possibly have a bit more quality at the back than we do.

I'd say France have to be the favourites right now - seem to be the only side in the continent who doesn't appear to have a weak area. England are firmly second favourites in my book. I didn't think the Spanish were amazing against Scotland; the Germans haven't been good, but the change in manager and home advantage could change things; Italy may not even qualify. The Dutch, the Belgians and Portugal could cause damage on their day. Croatia are in decline and won't be a major challenger at this Euros - they too may not even qualify.

Right now, I'd rank the top European sides:
  1. France
  2. England
  3. Germany / Spain
  4. Italy / Belgium / Netherlands / Portugal

Harsh on Rashford, but can't really argue with that front three. Love that midfield, but I can see Southgate persevering with 2 DMs instead of Maddison. And I'd have Trippier over Chilwell, but admittedly I haven't seen much of Chilwell this season.
