From Despair To Where?
Forbury Lion When does the pannini sticker album come out? It's usually before the squads are announced so it will be interesting to see how far off their predictions are.

688 stickers which means you have to buy 138 packs, with no swaps to fill the bloody thing.

I have a theory that they limit the numbers of certain stickers to keep everyone buying stickers in the hope of completing the book.

Hoop Blah At the moment my squad would be, based on Hodgson playing 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-1-2

3 Keepers: Hart, Forster, Heaton

6 Defenders: Clyne, Cahill, Smalling, Stones, Rose, Baines (or Bertrand)

5 Midfielders: Dier, Wilshire, Ali, and two out of Milner, Drinkwater and Henderson (the latter the one likely to miss out)

5 Attacking Midfield/Wide Forwards: Rooney, Lallana, Sterling, Wellbeck, Barkley

3 Forwards: Kane, Vardy Sturridge

That's only 22 and leaves me undecided on whether to take another right back (Walker), centre half (Jagielka) or an attacking player which, at the moment, would probably mean a choice between Walcott or Carroll.

Milner will definitely go and much as I am not a big fan he has played really well for Liverpool recently and seems to be behind most if their goals.

Wellbecks out but you've forgotten Andros! He's likely to have been included anyway

I really wish people would stop talking about Rashford. Making me nervous Hodgson is going to 'do a Sven' (Walcott).

He's ended the season well and never let Hodgson down so now Wellbeck is out I reckon it probably came down to Walcott vs Townsend vs a different option in Carroll.

From those 3 choices I'd probably expect Hodgson to go with Townsend (and probably rightly so).

Would definitely prefer Roy to take Townsend over Walcott. At least Townsend is direct & can whip in a cross, pretty much what Walcott can't do.

So he's named an initial 26 man squad, including Rashford, Townsend and then Delph as well as Henderson, Milner and Whilshire.

No Walcott, Baines or Jagielka, but that's not a real surprise.

Hart, Forster, Heaton

Walker, Clyne, Stones, Cahill, Stalling, Rose, Bertrand

Wilshire, Ali, Dier, Henderson, Drinkwater, Milner, Delph, Lallana, Barkley, Sterling, Townsend

Kane, Rooney, Sturridge, Vardy, Rashford

3 centre backs should be enough, especially with Dier there as the 4th option is it was ever needed. The 4th centre half very very rarely plays.

The 11 midfielders includes two that will be cut when it goes from 26 to 23.

I'm guessing Rashford would be the other that goes [gets cut] - unless Sturridge or Rooney pick up an injury in their final game(s)

Depends on Henderson and Wilshere's fitness though

I'd certainly leave Henderson and Wilshire at home. Henderson hasn't been as good as Noble this season and Wilshire hasn't played enough for me.

Rashford Delph and Townsend to be excluded for me. Drinkwater should go.

Agreed. Plus on form Rooney would be and should be nowhere near the squad.

Sack Hodgson now and give Mourinho a contract until the end of the Euros.
