Dear Reading fans,
I am recruiting new fans for Reading Town Football Club who played in the Combined Counties League this season but 99% will likely to play in Hellenic League next season, which is step 5 football. If Reading Town do move to the Hellenic league this is great as most of the clubs are in Oxfordshire so this could mean more traveling and home support for the Town.
Non League football is becoming more and more popular in England with clubs attracting 300 to 400 people each week such as Cheshunt FC who have Arsenal and Spurs to contend with but still attract 3 figures crowd. Reading Town should be no different and have 3 figures crowds coming through the gates. You can still support the Royals but make Reading Town your second team you go and support when your not busy watching Reading FC. The football at this level is pretty good and it’s also very entertaining with sending’s off, great goals scored from near the half way line and score like 5-3 or 5-4. It’s also very cheap with kids entry into the ground £2 and Adults £5 what includes the program. There are three stands witch you can go in the 1st one is opposite the dugouts which holds 112 people. The 2nd stand is the newly completed one witch is behind the goal which I sing and drum behind could probably hold around about 400 to 500 fans or more. The third stand is near the dugouts what I estimate could hold around about 100.
Reading Town pre-season fixtures
Sat 19th July Reading YMCA v Reading Town
Tues 22nd July Newbury Town v Reading Town
Sat 26th July Frimley Green v Reading Town
Tues 29th July Bedfont v Reading Town
Sat 2nd Aug Reading Town v Sandhurst Town
Tues 5th Aug Reading Town v Marlow
My aim is get 300 to 400 people down at Scours Lane by the start of next season. Only you can make this happen.
