Unbelievably McGhee will play number two to Gordon Strachan for the Scottish national side. Surely the SFA had better options than this has been, much failed manager!?

Even more reason to LOL@Scotland, as if we needed any!

Always liked McGhee for what he did at our club (his leaving sparked by a lack of ambition by the club IMHO) and pleased for him that he has landed this job as official interpretor for Strachan, who I don't think even the Jocks understand.

soggy biscuit
Alan Partridge
soggy biscuit Confirmed as sacked

Shame, oversaw my favourite ever era at Reading, always look out for his teams and hope they do well.

If you're not being sarcastic soggy I actually agree.

I was one of the most vocal boys on the south bank starting chants against him and admittedly have difficulty moving on. I still detest Parj and Wet Sham.

But I've somehow forgiven McGhee the poor chap. Not had much luck, weve given him lots of grief and really he seems to have been the man responsible for triggering our good fortunes recently. Plus he basically apologised to Madejski, crawled to us and asked for a managers job again, but we said no. All is forgiven pretty much for me. Good luck Mark.

I thought when applying he was quoted as saying soemthing like "It's the right time, the club now match my ambition"? That was basically the ramblings of a mad, arrogant tosser. He seems to have reached his natural level in Scotland. I, for one, hope they never win a game again.

I must have missed that. If true then I agree with you.

I remember the headlines being something along the lines of "I don't want any job, I want THIS job" as he wanted to make amends. I may be wrong though.
