A m8 who supports Cardiff Ok This is our night tonight! 51 years of pain and nearly men! Those dark days of the 80s and 90s a distant memory for those of us old enough to remember! The tough 70s always fighting relegation, and fighting off the pitch also:-) but for all our old, current, and new fans tonight maybe the night we forget about the pain of recent years. the semi final defeat against Stoke in the play offs, losing to Preston 6.1 and then getting beat by Sheff weds last game of the season to miss out on the play offs! Cup final defeat to Portsmouth from a goal keeping error! The play off final defeat to Blackpool! Heartache of semi final losses in the play offs to Reading and West ham! beaten on penalties by Liverpool in the league cup final. Tonight is the night we wash that nearly men tag down the sink. With our love of cardiff city Football club We move on to a new level many of us only dreamt of and thought we would never see, lets not forget our supporters who have passed away in our time of triumph; They may change the color of our shirt, they may change our badge every so often, they may change owners, they may change managers, players, staff; But they WONT Change our passion Pride and love of cardiff city football Club. Bluebird unite and and make as much noise as we can so that those who have passed away can hear the roar of our Joy and Elation. No other club in the country has suffered as we have or been discriminated against so much in this modern era of we have earned our place at the top table Bluebirds!!!!!!

southbank1871 No offence Dirk, but whenever you post up something from one of your m8s, they always sound like helmets.

yes they will, just come in 12 months time.
must admit, i am quite envious of Cardiff fans today. Probably the best thing about the PL is getting there and tonight is the pinnacle of it all. The memories of winning promotion to the Premier league are much better for me than anything we actually did in the Premier League. (the opening game against Boro does stand high though)
Winning promotion to the PL > being in the PL
Look forward to seeing their fans on the pitch tonight

RoyalinBracknell Getting a promotion must be right up there with the best things that can happen in club football, I guess along with winning a league (most obviously the Premier League) or winning some type of cup competition. Possibly staying up in some circumstances could also be added to that list but that's maybe less clear cut as you can be in midtable in March when it happens - obviously if it's on the final day that would be special. Those are the peak moments and the cut and dry endings. A general league season doesn't really compare. 06/07 was a great season for us but whilst there were some great memories I guess there wasn't really any individual peak moment that would warrant a pitch invation/open top bus. It was very satisfying but there wasn't much glory relatively speaking.
