it was funded mainly the fans of the club. it is a community stand.

Terminal Boardom What a dreadful state of affairs. And now, the players have not been paid. seems like the lessons of 20 plus years ago have all been ignored. Shambles.

Alexander Litvinenko The tragedy is that the fans did so much to rescue the club, then handed over to a businessman to "take them to the next level" - and the next level is financial oblivion.

LUX I'm very much in the "Aldershot are our only mutual rivals" camp. It's always annoyed me when they win (pretty sad, I know) and would actively follow their results to check that they do not get promoted/get into the play-offs.
But there are limits to this petty dislike. I found to my surprise that I wanted them to stay up on the last day of the season........................and I certainly do not want them to fold.
OTOH I did enjoy Oxford going non-league a few years ago.

Agree with that. I'd rather have them in the league and have a chance of meeting them in the cups than seeing them go bust or suffer in non-league.

Wax Jacket football in the area is definitely stronger for having the Shots at as high a level as possible BUT they got relegated fair and square and not many fans went to try and help them out of it.
for all that they're a phoenix club and haven't been around to enjoy the changes in football in the last 20 years, you can't help but think that it's a club that football's left behind a little. I wonder if they'd have better crowds if Chelsea were still getting 25,000 and Reading 8,000 for instance.
