University Research for Dissertation Purpose - About foreign ownership of English Football Club.

Hello. I have four questions and would like the thoughts of fans about it. Hopefully, that some of you will provide their opinions to all four questions or at least one of them. Thank you.

1 - What do you think about the foreign ownership of English football clubs?
2 - What are your thoughts about the European Super League and the club’s owners involvement in it?
3 - Do you think the Profit and Sustainability rule and the Financial Fair Play rule came into play due to the increase in foreign ownership of clubs and why?
4 - What are your views on the ’50 + 1’ rule and should it be implemented in England?

Can you imagine if this study was against any other business?

Any university studies being done on Indian landlords, Chinese takeaway owners, Irish driveway layers, Aussie bartenders or Eastern european labourers?

In the current climate I think this "research" is in rather poor taste.

Yep - you can get British owners who are utterly toxic and only out to screw the football club, and you can get superb overseas owners, so to categorise "foreign owners" as one group is simplistic.

The real question is suitability of ownership rather than nationality of ownership.

I think simplistic is generous. I'd go with divisive and xenophobic.

How far would you take it anyway, would a Englishman heading a foreign owned consortium be ok? Or an Englishman who's business and source of wealth is overseas?
