genome Well that was a non event.
Special mention to Rio Ferdinand calling the Qatar-backed, oil money sports washers PSG winning the Champions League a "win for football".
I know it's not a fairytale or underdog story, but he has a point. They got all the money then chased galaticos and big name signings for a decade. It's only after they've turned their back on it and focused on youth development and building a team that they've won, playing thrilling football along the way.
Like I said, it's not an underdog story. Players like Barcola, Doue and Joao Neves were expensive signings, but it's clearly more enjoyable than Madrid winning again via a string of last minute winners and Courtois MOTM performances in goal.
I normally prefer a competitive game, but tonight I simply enjoyed watching a team close to perfection.
