6ft Kerplunk What's happened to Jayden Danns? He looked like he could develop into a similar chaos forward. Or they could even give more match time to Harvey Elliott.

Heard rumours of a season’s loan to Sunderland. Danns is still only 19 and think Liverpool rate him quite highly so could be a good deal all round.

Elliott probably will be sold or p’ex’d somewhere.

Considering they got Elliott for £4.5m, they're going to make another hefty profit on him.

Much like the Wirtz transfer, looks like Liverpool are in dialogue with Newcastle and will agree a deal before making a formal bid for Isak. Sky Sports Germany reporting that an agreement in principle with Isak is in place to earn £280k a week until 2031.

Has something changed in football, seems to me a number of clubs speak to players and agree terms BEFORE speaking to the parent club to agree a fee or even if they want to sell. We’ve had Napoli agreeing terms with Nunez, Barcelona working out a deal with Williams, Munich doing the same with several players and, of course, Real Madrid spending whole seasons dropping hints and unsettling players who are coming out of contract. Surely all this is illegal and those clubs should be brought before domestic FA and/or UEFA/FIFA disciplinary hearings? Or is it one of those rules that do not apply if you’re a big club

Yeah something seems off - might relate to the manner of approach/agent's role. Liverpool can't approach Isak, but can his agent approach them?

Joao Palhinha to Spurs - season-long loan from Bayern with option to buy for €30m next summer. Looks a great deal that.

Initial bid of £120m for Isak rejected by Newcastle. David Ornstein says the striker has turned down a new contract that includes a reasonable release clause next summer - he wants the move.

If Newcastle don’t do a deal on this they’re going to be left with a very hacked off player who could well go down the latest “all contracts are valueless” loophole and just serve notice. Then Newcastle will get nowt.

I expect Liverpool will go back with a £130m + £20m in addons bid to get it to £150m.

Competing stories right now. Sky Sports say Liverpool are preparing a second offer of £130m (two instalments) + £10m add-ons. BBC say Liverpool won't bid again.

BBC spouting cr@p as usual. The ‘pool will go back in with a second bid.

Reject that and I think Liverpool will then decide to stop playing stupid buggers and Newcastle will be left with a very pi$$ed off player on their hands.
