Stranded
Hendo
Pepe the Horseman I think Preston will be the 3rd team to go down.

Sheff Utd likely to finish on 92 pts. Will that be a record high for not finishing in the top 2?

So what happens if Preston get relegated and Bristol City get promoted? Does The Championship hibernate for a year?

The kingdom and the Tower of London will fall.

Such a contrast in final day excitement between divisions. In League One, the only 'live' result to be finalised is the final play-off spot, which will be taken either by Leyton Orient or Reading.

In the Championship however, eight of the 12 matches have something riding on it, however tenuous. Burnley and Leeds still have a title to win, five teams have a shot at two play-off places, and their are six teams going into the final day that might need a result to avoid relegation.

Should extend the play offs so that the top 10 all qualify. Then you could have a play off between the play off teams to see who makes the playoffs. Or relegate more sides as well so you have 10 sides going down, be much more entertaining and only have a max of 4 teams that would have nothing to play for in the last day.

Hull City forum praising Selles but the rumour is he will get the bullet Monday.
Also noticed wages weren't paid on time last Wednesday there....sounds familiar.

Disagree, this is what a league is for in the first place! What’s the point in having loads of league games to decide positions if, at the end of it all, you start bringing back the also rans who weren’t good enough to really challenge in the first place, it’d end like the ******* stupid CL where every year they parachute in dross from other competitions in an attempt to ensure as many of the ailing big clubs stay on the gravy train as possible.

Think perhaps every division from PL to NL should have one extra relegation and promotion place added though.

Should also introduce “the Italian” element so if 3rd is “streets ahead” of the rest the PO’s are cancelled and 3rd place gets promoted. Sheffield Utd this season for example.

Sad if true. Really think Hull deserved to go down though. On the brink of having it all last season but for a stupid owner sacking the best young English manager in the league on a whim. Even Dai never did that (but only because he never appointed a good manager in the first place).

Or…3rd place gets you a place in the final and places 4 to 7 play off for the other place in the final. Rewards finishing 3rd and extends the chances of promotion down to 7th.

I'm really confused by this post. You're disagreeing with your own post. What's even more bemusing is I assumed your first post was tongue in cheek.

Nah, still think it's the disallowed 100th minute winner at Newport.

First post was indeed tongue in cheek, like any league is ever going to have mass promotion/relegation places!
