Loafer jota already allowed to leave saudi

will love it to go tits up

He was the one genuinely world class player in the SPL last season. Wouldn't be surprised to see him link up with Postecoglu again at Spurs.

Sounds like they want to get rid so they can bring Salah in.

Mohammed Noor said: “Mohamed Salah is an Ittihad player, God willing. There is a 75 per cent chance that Salah will join Ittihad. I heard that Jota will not continue with the team. Yes, the club paid €30 million for him, but the club found that he does not serve the team at the moment. Ittihad’s interests come first. I am happy to have Karim Benzema in the centre-forward position, but he lacks playing alongside world-class attacking wingers. But in that way, absolutely not.”

Nothing demonstrates why it's such a joke league quite like that. He was one of the few big money signings who's career was on an upward curve and they sack him off because they want to sign another big name player the wrong side of 30.

21 year old Gabri Veiga who was in discussions to join Napoli and was linked to Liverpool earlier in the summer agrees to join Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia from Celta Vigo.

Toni Kroos is unimpressed.

Apparantly the Ittihad fans were upset as Jota wasn't a big enough name. You just don't know because of the stupid amounts of cash out there but really can't Salah to Saudi happening in this window.

Genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if they were expecting Liverpool's Jota.

It gets better

Nuno Espírito Santo has reportedly informed the Al-Ittihad board that Karim Benzema does not fit into his tactical style.

He wasn't keen on signing the Ballon d'Or winner in the first place, which is leading to tension between the two men.

The Portuguese manager also rejected Benzema's request for the captain's armband.

Therefore, the Frenchman is 'not comfortable' working in the current environment at the Saudi club, perhaps opening the door to a shock transfer.

Bye then Nuno.

Shame a swap for Jota isn't possible.

If anything was to underline the lack of real interest in football in the region, this is it.

Just wondering now how much money Ittihad will wave at Liverpool now. This is a club that just paid off Jota 1 month into a 3 year contract that was worth £300k per week

Thinking it could get truly insane given that money really is no object. Well upwards of two or £300m perhaps?

If that happens then Liverpool fans will go ape as they have no confidence in FSG backing Klopp in signing another world class player to replace Salah esp. now Mbappe appears "off the table". In fact they'd probably expect FSG to just tell Klopp to promote Doak to replace him esp. with just a week of the window left.

Shame there's no ffp in Saudi.

Was wondering if the Saudi Pro League is going to benefit from the FFP rules that European clubs need to abide by. Struggling to stay within FFP? Just ship a middling star off to Saudi Arabia for more than market value, and suddenly you're back in the black.

Uli Hoeneß telling the media how Bayern Munich got the Kane deal over the line:

"At midnight we had an agreement, but at 2:50am, the deal was called into question again. They asked again for a larger amount. Jan Dreesen told Levy 'no, not a penny more'. It took 6 hours for Levy to accept this and for the plane that had been waiting for Harry at Stansted that morning to finally take off. Harry also told Levy 'If we don't have a solution by the evening, I'll play for Tottenham on Sunday. And then it's over, I won't sign a new contract at Tottenham and will go on a free transfer next year'"

How are Bournemouth and Burnley in this list? Have either of them actually made any decent signings? Justin Kluivert is the only one that comes to mind.

Bournemouth, the club who cried when we signed Martin Butler for "big money" years ago, have always loved throwing around money on average players like it's nothing.

That's what happens when you get a rich Russian owner followed by a rich American owner.
Meanwhile we still suffer because the Mad Man couldn't recognise whether a new owner had the deep pockets that he kept on about.

Apart from Kluivert they have bought a young left-back Kerkez for about £15 million and spent £20million plus each on Tyler Adams and Alex Scott from Bristol City,
Their policy does seem to be to go for younger players apart from that over-rated diver Max Aarons.

Last season they spent quite a lot as well so the "little old Bournemouth" tag really doesn't wash anymore.

Timothy Castagne (from Leicester) would seem like a decent signing for Fulham, but something they have a lot of already is full-backs.
