Scott Carson has 2 champions league medals and for one he was barely even on the bench :|

What actually has he done to ensure city won any of those :| :| :|

Apart from supercup (let's face it that's as meaningless as the club world championship)

Because for any home grown player to break into the Citeh squad, they've got to be a more than decent player.

If he fulfils his potential and is a £100m+ player in 5 years, it will look like £40m very well spent.

Of all the money Chelsea have spaffed on players on the last year, it looks one of the better deals.

When I have seen him play for City I have been impressed with him, real talent there. Would have liked to have seen him go to somewhere like Spurs though, think he would have stood out a little bit more. Don't think he is necessarily guaranteed starts at Chelsea.

Nice to see the fine Chelsea got for FFP violations has really had an effect on slowing the club's spending this summer.

Season long loan deal for Ansu Fati, to Brighton! What a signing that is.

Just enough showcase time before he moves to Chelsea/Liverpool/City/Newcastle/Spurs/United or Saudi next summer then!

Once again I have a sneaking regard for City and the way they do their business in that they are , unlike many other clubs, unafraid of selling to so-called "rivals".
See also Sterling, Jesus and Zinchenko.

I wonder if they will sell Phillips to Liverpool or to a non-rival such as Man Utd.

How is David De Gea still without a club? Madness. Can only assume it is financial demands on his side.

You'd think so, but there hasn't been any whispers or anything - I guess he might be taking a little break.

He's holding out for a call from Selles.

Southampton set to sign Ross Stewart and Patrick Roberts from Sunderland.

The head of recruitment at Southampton? Darren Mowbray, brother of Sunderland boss Tony.

Supposedly £8m (£1.2m will go to Ross County), could rise to £10m for Ross Stewart; £5m for Roberts (£3m now + £2m in guaranteed add-ons). I bet Sunderland fans can't believe their "luck".

Tbf, Patrick Roberts is a fine player and probably worth £5m of anyone’s money.

Can't see Sunderland fans being overly impressed losing the likes of Patrick Stewart to a rival in the same division, with their sense of entitlement there could be ructions brewing if they don't spend immediately on bigger and better names.
