tomrfcurz Liverpool have first refusal on Gylfi. Reading have offered the exact if not similar to what terms Swansea offer and they are acceptable for Sigurdsson. However Gylfi and his agent plus daddy Sig are holding out to see if Liverpool show their hand. If they do not i can see no reason why Sigurdsson won't re-sign at Reading but if they do - as we've all agreed there really is only one outcome. The ball is firmly in Liverpool's court but this won't be resolved quickly; Rodgers will browse knowing that Gylfi may well wait. Don't expect a quick wrap up (my opinion).

How do you know this Tom, I mean that as a sincere question, not a "how do you know that, PROVE IT!"
Generally a good idea to clarify yourself around here!

Thanks for the info Tom. I have no reason to doubt you so believe what you say is in good faith just as I do with other posters.
The only thing that puzzles me slightly is your first sentence where you say Liverpool have first refusal on Gylfi. I can't see why he would have a clause in his contract referring to Liverpool as Rodgers has only just gone there. The rest of your statement makes perfect sense and I think he will end up at Liverpool.

Pepe the Horseman He means Gylfi wants to go to Liverpool, so if they bid for him, they'll get him.

You could say that about just about any player if it comes down to playing for either Reading or Liverpool.....
