I still don't get all the hype over Rooney. He is a good player but certainly not world class. Perhaps Joey Barton is right when he spoke recently about Rooney's attitude being all wrong. With any luck, he will pick up an injury and watch the world cup from the comfort of a 40-50 year old granny prostitute while puffing away on 20 Mayfair.

The odd thing with Rooney is that while I don't think he ever went on to become the player his potential suggested/he was hyped up to be/we thought he would be, the media continued blindly as if they refuse to accept he isn't one of the top players in the world.
