Apparently, in light of the Michael Jackson statue at Fulham, Arsenal have announced their intentions to unveil a statue of Bullseye legend Jim Bowen outside the Emirates, with the plaque reading "Let's look at what you could have won!"

I bet it wasn't originally meant to be Jacko and it just turned out the sculptor couldn't do noses.

Ideal Why would they want a statue of an alleged kiddie-fiddler outside their stadium?

You can't libel/slander the dead, Ideal.

Michael Jackson was a kiddie-fiddler.

He doesn't want critics as fans...

If you're a Fulham FC fan and you don't like the 7ft 6in Michael Jackson that club owner Mohammed Al-Fayed has erected outside Craven Cottage Stadium, then you can "go to hell".

The football boss decided to unveil the statue of the 'Thriller' singer before the club's game against Blackpool but it hasn't got the warm reception that he'd anticipated.

Al-Fayed decided that it would be a fitting tribute to his friend, after Jackson died in June 2009 and it was reportedly intended to be placed in Harrods but he sold the luxury department store.

The 78-year-old has claimed that it is not a "bizarre" idea, as he said: "Why is it bizarre? Football fans love it.

"If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift this guy gave to the world they can go to hell."

He also added: "I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else."

But some fans have criticised the statue and believe that it doesn't mean anything to the club and shouldn't warrant such a tribute.

One Fulham fan, Michael Tune told MailOnline: "We're a laughing stock. It has nothing to do with football."

Jackson had attended one Fulham game in 1999 although Al-Fayed chairman claimed that the late singer "love Fulham".

He said: "The last game he attended here with me, he was running like a child, he loved the place.

"He loved Fulham and he wanted to attend all of the matches. People will queue to come and visit it from all over the UK and it is something that I and everybody else should be proud of."

I understand a statue of Jackson...........i understand many were fans of his all over the world

What i don't understand is why Fulham have a statue of him outside their ground - apart from being Al-Fayed's friend, what did he do for Fulham.

Why not a statue of Johnny Haynes or someone :?

The madness of Al-Fayed. He had it made to go in Harrods but then sold the store, so in his mind everyone should appreciate this and he's put it outside the football club.

Jackson was no more a Fulham fan than he was a football fan. It's all nonsense.

I just can't believe how he's telling people to go to hell and fcuk off to Chelsea. Mental.

Al-Fayed "I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else."

All none Fulham Muslim's please leave the building.

Al-Fayed People will queue to come and visit it from all over the UK

Computer says no.
