Jerry St Clair
Huntley & Palmer I know an ex employee of Watford's coaching staff

Ex being the important part of tha sentence.

Is he bitter perchance?

Possibly to some extent. The main gripe was surrounding the sale of Watford's prime youth players and the amount received for them.

Indeed, Villa certainly got a bargain with Ashley Young !!
Didn't Fulham pay a large amount for the guy they got (Bouazza ?)

Young, as with nearly all transfers, was a figure quoted based on all the requirements of the transfer being met. The figure received up front by Watford was less than half of the end figure. Bouazza was sold for far less than the amount quoted as being available for.

At least they managed to sell some players, more than we have for a long while.

I say good on Watford, they did not splash in the Prem, but are now back and stronger in the Championship, I reckon if we went down and were in their position we would have healthy crowds to watch a winning team.

I would also think if they do get promoted they will be stronger than last season.

King was a big loss for them. Though I'm not sure spending £3 million on Ellington was the greatest signing this season :?

True and I bet he is enjoying sitting ont he bench (maybe on less wages..) as he was doing at West Brom and not likely to get into the side very soon.

I remember one of our Youth team coaches was supposed to get a share of the Ashley Young fee as agreed in a clause when Graham Taylor was here but for some reason the club refused to do that.

It was your Director of Youth, who now incidentally is at your rivals Luton trying to ensure that they don't miss out on the players that Watford and other clubs pluck from their area. He was contracted to receive a fee of any transfer as part of his involvement in their development

Big game v West Brom this weekend...win that and I might start thinking of your record.

We're bound to lose at Norwich though or something!

The record isn't even on the agenda at this point of the season.

Look at the numbers in March and then start getting excited !
