Jackson Corner In terms of distance there is little betwwen the 3 clubs. You would think there would be a rivalry with Swindon as we were both founder members of div 3 south in 1920 and have plyed each other nearly a 100 times in league football. Oxford only joined the league 1963, and left it 2 years ago.

TBMSpaceCruiserMessiah Not really a derby as such. They care little about us to be honest. Oxford is their derby, and I think most of us think of Oxford as more of a derby than Swindon.
Not fussed. Hope they come up though, as it's an easy 30 mile trip up the M4.
Is your brain full of sandwich bags?
We've played Swindon more than we have played Oxford and Swindon have played Oxford.
I've looked up soccerbase, we've played Swindon 95 times. Unfortunately, soccerbase doesn't do non-league teams (LOL @ Oxford) for head-to-head searches.
Are "derby" games based on how many times you've played a team then?

Swindon fans I know all say their main derby is with Bristol City.

Sun Tzu In fact mass misuse of the terms 'rivals' and 'derby'.
Sheff Utd have been 'rivals' for several seasons but playing them is not a 'derby'.
Swindon haven't been 'rivals' for many years, but it's a 'derby' game.
Wycombe are our closest league team but games against them have not been between 'rivals' and never felt like a 'derby'
I have no idea what does and doesn;t count !!

Who in turn, really don't care about swindon as they hate rovers and cardiff more.
Swindon see themselves as west country, we are more a London club IMO.

A derby is when two teams from a similar area play each other, is it not?..........I dont understand Spaceys comment on how many times we've played a team counts as a derbyAs usual he posts something, gets it wrong and fails to back it up.

Teams from places not especially close play in Derby games (Norwich / Ipswich, Swansea / Cardiff, Liverpool / Man Utd)
Traditionally derbies were between teams from the same town/ city but pretty much anything goes now.

We're not in the slightest a 'London' club !!

I would say our "derby" games (of league teams) would be
Swindon
Wycombe
Aldershot
Of them none are really our "rivals" unless you class Aldershot as the same Aldershot that went out of business in 92?!

It is definitely the 'same' Aldershot.
Like leicester are the same Leicester and Chelsea are the same Chelsea.
Can;t recall when Aldershot we actually a 'rival' - as in competing for something alongside us.

FiNeRaIn went to Aldershot vs Reading a few years back and it was a tasty atmosphere, bricks and objects thrown by many. Club officials obviously didnt realise it was a derby
