Dirk Gently Cracking game - if only Villa had switched on to what they could do with pace and energy about 20 minutes earlier. Some absolutely outstanding saves from Donnarumma.

One thing that struck me was the end, when Emery was walking off past the crowd - there was one tw@ giving him absolutely dog's abuse. Considering how Emery's transformed the club, and how they only just lost in such a tight game, in a Champions League Quarterfinal against one of the best and most expensive teams in Europe, how can anyone be that angry and that blind to reality?

Football fans really are utter dickheads at times!

Less than a decade ago, they got relegated with a front line of Ayew - Gestede - Agbonlahor - Kozak. :|

And where was William then?

genome That last minute 3rd PSG goal in the 1st leg is what did it for Villa imo

I saw a post on one of the Villa Twitter feeds last night, on this day (15th April) a few years ago, they lost 3-1 at home to us in the Championship, and today they beat PSG 3-2 in a Champions League QF.

Definitely an outlier though. The city is absolute buoyant currently (football wise) given Villa's Champions League exploits and how well they've been doing over the last couple of seasons - and obviously coupled with Blues demolishing League One this season.

Joseph Mendes double?

He looked electric that day. Did nothing else of note.

That was my middle brother's stag do. Went to the Spoons at Perry Barr, except half the group took one look at that, one look at the African Village bar and grill and went to the latter.

One season we had WBA and Villa away right next to each other. Schards, ex of this parish, was there with his brother - "you must be committed, going to every away game"

Yeahhhhhhh :?

That might have been the same season when I went with you to the Albion game and we met Schards in the Vine before the game

2018/19 was 4-1 loss and think I went with JMW but there's two West Mids games right at the start of the season, followed by a Blues away game that I definitely went to. Inevitable Jutkiewicz goal.

2019/20, late August, evening kick off, 1-1 draw. That was the one we went to, met at the Jewellers? Schards rocking up in a suit.

The brother one may have been Wolves, actually, went to one game there with half a mixed grill secreted in my bag. Got to half time and had sheesh kebabs and mint sauce. 8)

My mate, Ben, has such fond memories of that game. "Is it always this much fun supporting Reading?"

Not wishing it to happen but the Twitter meltdown if Real win 4-0 tonight will be absolutely hilarious.

Ancelotti starting Alaba and the completely out of his depth Lucas Vazquez at full back makes it far more likely that Arsenal win 4-0.

Courtois had dived so early too, all he has to do was roll it into the other corner.

Good result for the Arse though Real Madrid really are overrated at the moment. Next is a game against the best team in the tournament win that and they’re pretty much home and hosed.

Watched the last 20 minutes of the Inter Vs Bayern which was great. still amazing to see Eric Dier playing regularly for a club at that level. Can't work out if that is bayern dropping their standards or Dier upping his game

I also maintain that Bastoni is the best CB in the world.

Big night for Bodo/Glimt. Should've been out of sight after the first leg. Wouldn't be shocked if they win on the night tonight as well.
