Brum Royal http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26399507

Article on the BBC listing all the managers in all the leagues with their start date on their current jobs.

Apart from Wenger, the earliest appointment of a manager still in residence is 2010, and not many of them either. Pearson in 2011 the longest serving in the Champo.

Do you know that every club in the football league has changed their manager since Arsenal last won a trophy

Took a dislike to them the day they signed Chris Coleman for £2M when in Div 3. I remember being outraged at the time that a club was so obviously just buying their way up the football league. Obviously pales into comparison by today's standards but the dislike was set in stone that day.

I went to what was billed as their last ever game on 3rd March 1987. A 0-0 draw against Doncaster. Took pictures and everything.

A complete waste of time and have hated them ever since. Clive Walker didn't help either.

Saying that - I've always enjoyed an away trip to Craven Cottage. Always a sizeable royal contingent and have seen us win there a few times.

I know he's a club legend and all that, but I just don't understand why they'd give him the job. I suppose he's just about young enough to still be a draw for some players based on his playing career, but his record as a manager is pretty poor.

Even more odd that he seems to have told them he won't start until the summer and so he's not willing to try and get them into the play offs and a promotion straight away.

friend of a friend is a forest fan. Yesterday I heard he was ecstatic over the decision, said it was the best news he had heard in years. I asked if he thought they would go up next year, he said 'probably not but Pearce is a Legend'

it's just giving the fans what they want basically
