I can't see Brian lasting too much longer at Leeds; not only has the guy that tried to sack him before he owned the club now got ownership of the club, but 3 wins since Christmas (one of which when he wasn't at the club) is a damning stat, notwithstanding the extenuating circumstances.

There's a thing about black managers again, in the press......now there are none in the top 4 english leagues

At the start of the season there was 4

6 April 2014: Chris Hughton sacked by Norwich after 22 months in charge
11 March 2014: Chris Powell sacked by Charlton after two years and 10 months in charge
21 January 2014: Paul Ince sacked by Blackpool after 11 months in charge
27 October 2013: Chris Kiwomya sacked by Notts County after 10 months in charge

Now correct me if i'm wrong but weren't they all sacked cos they were doing shit, not cos they're black?! :?

Chris Rock will certainly think twice before applying for any managerial vacancies.

They weren't shit because they were black either. Most managers are shit, and almost all of them get sacked in the end. There does seem to be something of note in the fact that there are now no black managers in the football league pyramid until you get down to about 9th in Conference South or Conference North. I know the likes of Jason Roberts will get shouted down by the PC-gone-mad brigade, but he is right to try to bring it to everybody's attention.

Most managers are ex players. they need time to come through the system and hence few if any get fast tracked. There are no Chinese managers or Indian for that matter or polish etc. But no it's always the blacks who are hard done by and we should wipe their arses for them and carry them to the dugout....Earn your place instead of the poor me BS. there is no racism in the game despite what they try to tell you. When did a black player report a racist incident between players or managers? (not fans)

John Terry was reported by a bloke watching at home. He was found not guilty by a court of law and guilty by a FA kangaroo court intent on making a statement (and in fear of Rio Ferdinand Jason Roberts jumping on the bandwagon ). despite peoples hatred of terry/Chelsea nothing was actually proved.

Ironically Rio made a racist remark -or retweeted one which is equally as bad in the eyes of the law- yet went unpunished. so how's that for reverse racism? (calling someone a coconut/choc ice has had a test case previously whereby a black woman in Bristol was found guilty of racism when she used that remark against another black person)

Suarez which was debatable apparently but the closest although not reported to the police or at least not persued.. so racism between professionals appears not to be an issue or there would be far more than 2 in recent history
unless someone can actually prove otherwise??

IMHO It's not a race issue it's a reflection of the game. As more and more black players become ex players who drift into management, there will more black managers QED. If they are any good they will get on, if not they will get sacked and find another club . that's how it works....

JR is a knob who will play the race card at every available opportunity irrespective of the topic in question. (in-between counting his ill-gotten gains)

You say "most managers are shit"...

Why do players never get blamed for failings. Or the board or those that scout players.

I find it hard to believe managers are at fault most of the time

Cos its the manager who puts those players out - its his job to get the most out of them and get them to produce on the pitch. I do agree though that shit players do get away with it, i don't think there is any other job where being shit means you still take home a decent pay cheque for doing nothing with no way of them getting rid of you.

I think people should look at the playing positions that general tend towards good managers (i.e. often not the flair positions), then look at how many decent black players there were in those positions 10-20 years ago..... stop comparing to black players now for heaven's sake

I won't go into the hilarious trolling in most of your post but will ask, how many Chinese, Indian and Polish players are there?

I wonder if Vincent Kompany will stay in this country and manage one of our clubs.
He seems to have it all in being a top international player, an obvious leader on the pitch and based only on his appearance on MOTD an articulate thinker about the game.
With so many jobs available in the Media nowadays I wonder if top players will explore that career route rather than stay in the game as the likes of Carragher,Neville and even (Lord knows how) Michael Owen recently.
As more of these ex-players get those jobs, and surely they will have more about them that Savage, Shearer or Crooks, will we then hear Roberts complaining about there not being enough black people in the football media world (when he inevitably gets dropped for not being very good) especially when compared to athletics where it seems that there are predominantly retired black athletes.

So, pro-rata that is about 7% of Pro Licence holders being black.

4 out of 92 black managers at start of the season = just under 4.5%.

So quite comparable really :!: Instead of bleating about supposed racism, get off you @rses and take the qualification :!:

And worth mentioning, all those 4 black managers were sacked from clubs who are in the bottom reaches of their division of course. There is about as much a race-related issue in terms of selection of football managers as there is a noise pollution problem at the Madejski.

That's pretty much what I tried to tell him, but he just wanted to know what my solution would be. The problem isn't racism at all, it's that black ex-pros don't really want to be managers. He's also going on about how there's no black ex-pros in the boardroom, I asked how many white ex-pros were in comparable positions (I can honestly only think of Brian Marwood) but the answer came there none
