Sporting Lisbon & Real Betis told they will be banned from European competitions for 3 seasons and 1 season respectively unless they can prove to UEFA by next Monday that all their outstanding payments to other clubs have been settled

Sporting still haven't paid the full amount owed to Sampdoria for signing Bruno Fernandes in 2017

Players at clubs who you had completely forgotten about thread

Had no idea he played for Udinese or Sampdoria!

Endrick is apparently the latest in a long line of next big Brazilian wonderkids. This one is 15 and hasn't played a senior game yet but is tearing it up in the Palmeiras youth team. Real Madrid rumoured to have some agreement with him already.

Galatasary defender Marcao was banned for eight games early this season after running 40 yards to headbutt and punch a teammate.

It seems that not everything was smooth in the team. Did Marcao see a psychologist? His behavior undermined not only his authority, but also the authority of the team and the coach.

Barcelona beat Atletico 4-2 meaning they have climbed up to 4th place

Sevilla draw and miss the chance to go 1 point behind Real Madrid, who play tonight

Probably the best place for this but Marc Overmars has had to quit his role at Ajax after it became clear he had been sending inappropriate messages to a number of female employees for some time.

Title race very much ON! in Italy where AC Milan beat Inter meaning 1 point separates 3 teams at the top

Vlahovic scores 13 minutes into his debut and, along with Atalanta's continued collapse, puts Juventus finally back up into the top 4 after a calamitous start to the season.

Metro's headline a little silly - 'Vlahovic shows Arsenal fans what they are missing', as if he was ever going to choose Arsenal over Juventus.

Cracking player. Imho Serbia are going to have a team that should make the later stages of tournaments in a few years, maybe the next Euros.

Little statoid that I liked - when Coutinho joined Aston Villa he became the fourth player to have played for at least five European Cup/CL-winning clubs. Ibrahimovic holds the record having played for six such clubs, and yet is the only one of the four not to have won a European Cup, or even played in a European final. Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan and Manchester United are all (recent enough) winners, and Malmo and PSG have been runners-up, but none of those whilst Ibrahimovic was at the club.

**Ajax Goals Conceded Watch**

Another couple of clean sheets since we last checked in so they are now 2/3 of the way through the season and have still just conceded 5 (FIVE) goals

Porto undefeated and only dropped 6 points so far this season. 2/3 of the way through for them now too

Probably the most skewed league in Europe. When Porto won the league in 2010/11, they only dropped six points all season.

Yeah, even Sporting in 2nd place must feel they need a miracle even though they are only 6 points off top spot

Titles since the Primeria Liga's inception since 1934.

Benfica 37
Porto 29
Sporting Lisbon 19

Beleneses 1 (1945-46)
Boavista 1 (2000-01)

And only 12 times in the last 50 years has a team outside of the 'big three' finished in the top three places in the league.

Was amazed that Braga have never won the league, tbf.

This is the way the Premier League seems to be going with Liverpool, City and Chelsea .
