Las palmas aka gran canaria, are the only club in Spanish history to have been promoted back go back to the la liga in their first ever 2 years

They last played in la liga in 2015 to 2018, and Tenerife last in 2009 (incidentally this also had Xerez in who are now in the 5th tier or Spain and the most relegated club from the top flight in a football league without going bust)

Seems a bit daft that the Spanish Segunda with less games than the Championship, kicked off their season around the same time but will still be playing until late June in some scorchio temperatures

Only just found out the Segunda playoff final was a two legged affair with the legs a week apart, feels like the mighty 'Rife will barely have a week off before preseason for nest year's La Liga starts.

They are a massive club in France, have won multiple cups and leagues in their time and were champions 13 years ago. Heard a French journo in the week try and give a comparison to English football and he said it would be like Arsenal getting relegated.

Their finances are such a mess that its predicted likely they will go into administration if they go down too so next season may well not be a glorious promotion season back to Ligue 1
