Hoop Blah
melonhead liegertwood was only two weeks ago earning comments about being back to his best- he had an off game

Unless those two or three good games he had were a positive blip in form during an otherwise disappointing season....

Or maybe...

He's human and has both good&bad games.

I have an idea  If we sell Jimmy Kebe for £1.5million we could...Buy Rhodes for £1.5m plus Manset! Clever.

Great player scored 4 last week and another goal today. Le Fondre, Church, Hunt, Rhodes would be an epic striker force

So you value Manset at c£2m then....????????......Huddersfield value him between £3-4 m......not a hope in hell's chance of it happening

Clubs like Reading have missed the boat now as far as Jordan Rhodes is concerned. If he ever would have been interested in a move to us our chance would have been in the weeks following Huddersfield losing in last season's play offs. His asking price will have increased significantly even in the last few months and I would think there would be some Premiership Clubs in for him now, certainly 'bigger' and better paying Championship Clubs.

As for Manset as part of an exchange deal as things stand he needs to play and score some goals whether for Reading or on loan somewhere before he would have any significant transfer value.

If we'd signed Rhodes as a youngster and brought him on ourselves, people would have moaned about the lack of ambition and taking the cheap option. It would have been a risk tbf.

Now he's closer to the finished product and he's out of our price range. Lose-lose really.

If you were a Huddy fan, would you want to sell Rhodes for cash and Manset?

:| They've got Piquionne, Cole, Carew, and fellow League One hotshot Baldock. Why do they need Rhodes?

Piquionne is not very good. Beyond that, granted. They also made a bid for Whittingham. Cardiff would be mad to let him go to a rival. Would love to see a Premier League club snap him up though. Cardiff's promotion bid could well falter a little.

Isn't this exactly what was being said about Craig Mackail-Smith?

Money talks; IF we are interested (and I don't see why we shouldn't be for a player who ticks many of the RFC boxes) then the sticking point will be that WCBAP if his agent thinks he can secure more from someone else, whether that club is a Premiership side, a "bigger" Championship side - or whether its from a League 1 side willing to pay the money (eg: either of the Sheffield clubs).

If he does leave this month it'll be to the Premiership or possibly West Ham.
