Sanguine It is pal. But you've got to be pretty retarded to agree with wrestling attackers at corners when there is a specific directive to crack down on wrestling attackers at corners, right?

But he didn't wrestle him.

Wow, City look superb, including the goalkeeper except when it comes to goalkeeping.

Will be fascinating to see if Mourinho can out tactic Pep in the 2nd half and drag it back.

Things I learnt today....

Pogba isn't worth half that transfer fee.
De Brune my fav PL player.
What was Maureen thinking selling De Brune at Chelsea.
Pep clearly is sh#t at judging keepers.
Zlatan certainly isn't past it.....Wenger clearly has lost it and talks out of his bum.
Its not 3 o clock yet and we are still third :)

City Keeper should have been sent off for that challenge on Rooney. Definite pen

City prolly should have been a bit more efficient on the counter and scored

Don't agree, he absolutely got the ball.

And anyway, it WAS Rooney, so definitely no penalty.

Do you also still think Wilshere is the best English player since Gascoigne?

Most certainly.

Unfortunately due to a ridiculous injury record short bursts of brilliance are all we've had.

Did Bravo get the ball?

Didn't get the fuss about this... That picture proves it IE snap!

Could argue Rooney just as bad or a good ole 50/50.

In summary, no foul, no penalty, no card - correct decision

Brosef - Just that the still you posted doesn't support what you said except for studs first. Ball on ground, one foot on ground.

Anyway, as you say...

Enjoyable game, loads of chances. Not sure who I wanted to win. Don't like glory boy teams, but City are pretty unappealing tbh. Absolutely no soul. Prolly marginally prefer United :|

I'm amazed that a former referee can't see the difference in danger of injury to the opponent in going through (or over) the ball into at the player, leg extended and studs first.
Compared to kicking across the ball, not through the player, with laces from a bent leg.

Obviously a still like that doesn't show the whole story or if it should definitely be a red. But one of those challenges is cleatly inherently more dangerous than the other and it isn't Rooney's.

Cheers brosef, that's a red card all day long. It's an out of control lunge from too far out that goes through the player. Rooney's lucky it's caught him when his leg can flex to take the impact.

Can understand why it wasn't given

a. he's a keeper and rightly or wrongly they get treated differently
b. it does look like a 50/50 in real time
c. the position of the ref (was the lino that side?)
