Wonder what they offered him given that we allegedly made him a good offer and he turned it down - despite saying that he really wanted to come back here... Also the way Ipswich have been shelling out for more players.

Edited for you, never has one club signed so many "meh" players in one window.
According to Sonks our offer was derisory, less than when he was he before and a 90% pay cut on what he was on, he would have taken a 75% cut. Our view would have been, he was on nothing, released, and out of work so it was a decent given he'd not played much in the past few years and would give him a chance to prove himself.
