paultheroyal It's all about French league 2 and Sweden BTTS win.

Where do you get your coverage of those leagues?

Bet a £1 with coral and majority of games are shown live.

I'm thinking to bet on the following leagues this season:

Australian A-League/dutch league/swedish- btts and over goals.... every Saturday I watch every game and do live betting. So many goals.
Premier league
L1
L2
Championship
National League (FGR to win)

Maybe I should narrow that down a bit.

You are definitely over betting. I would only bet on the above leagues. Other too European leagues are too predictable and odds are terrible. Like I said, don't Consider betting on a game you cannot watch live.

Ive backed Higgins this morning to beat Carter in the snooker. I backed him at 2.5 when he was one set down. He has been so bad though that it actually looks like he is deliberately trying to lose the game. Either that or he can't handle the pressure. He is now 4 frames down and nearly beaten. Yesterday he was on fire.

Anyone have any betting ideas for today?

I'm thinking the best bet for today might be to lay off Coventry Bees on the betfair exchange at a price of 2.3 in their speedway meeting away to Wolverhampton.

Anyone agree that this is a surefire way to make money in the markets today?

Last night I laid off Chicago Fire against the Red Bulls and the Seattle Sounders against LA Galaxy to make some tidy profits in the MLS. I backed a draw in the Brazilian Serie A match between Inter and Corinthians but lost that bet as the Corinthians won away. I also laid off the Notts County ladies against our Reading Women. Our ladies did the job and got a draw to win that bet for me as well. So I won 3 bets yesterday and lost 1. Not bad going.

I'm not sure what to bet on today. I'm looking again towards the Iranian Pro League as there is nothing much else on. I fancy Persepolis at home against Foolad Khuzestan, but I'm not sure if a price of 1.57 is worth the risk. The first round of fixtures in that league were all very tight affairs with lots of draws and one goal wins.

And regarding the Chinese Super League..... It is now on Sky Sports! Fancy that. Now we have some coverage of that league. I missed the first two games that they covered. I don't think I will watch many, if any of those Saturday and Sunday 12:30 slots. I'll be too busy watching Reading.

You're still betting on everything TF. How much do you know about speedway?

And surely betting on women's football is folly.

I think you have a gambling problem currently.

I would echo what everyone else has said; only bet on stuff you know and understand, keep it small and simple and you will profit. Don't chase your losses.

I get what you're saying that you should bet on what you know... What I'm trying to do is to get to know some of the more obscure leagues so that I can identify and spot good value where the bookies might not and take opportunities to make some cash.

That is why I'm looking at the National League South. I'm going to get to know that league by watching my local team Wealdstone in action whenever their fixtures don't clash with Readings.

I also am looking at the MLS, Chinese Super League, Iran Pro League (really obscure), Brazilian Serie A, SPL, Bundesliga. Basically whatever Sky Sports and BT Sports are showing and anything where you can get good coverage online. Also MLB is good fun.

I don't think I have a problem yet. It's good fun. I'm only betting with a small amount of money. I put £100 into betfair and £100 into Bet365 about a month ago and I'm still playing with the same money. I've got Bet365 up to £110 so far which aint great. And Betfair is down to £78 at the moment. I don't want to use any new money. My goal will be to turn the £100 in each account in to a thousand by the end of the season. Let's see if it can be done. Anyone else achieve that?

Done it last season in 10 straight bets, but started with a tenner instead and went all the way to 1k and withdrew it.

To me it seems like you are blind betting which is not clever. Like I said before, I am not doing any serious bets until 1 months at least and I know about the teams in the league etc. I don't see the value in what you are doing with betting on all of these strange leagues because your funds have not drastically changed, so it seems like you are winning and then offsetting it by betting on these random games

You're right. I have learned some of this the hard way. I will pick my bets more carefully going forward. I feel like I know the MLS quite well now having watched quite a few of the games.

Will you share your betting ideas with me? And your arguments for making those selections?

At the moment, I am without a strong betting idea for today, so maybe I will lay off. The only serious idea I have been thinking about is the speedway. Wolverhampton have won all 8 of their home games this season so should be able to beat lowly Coventry. No bets have been matched yet on the betfair exchange so it's hard to know at the moment what price I could get Wolverhampton at.

In your opinion what is a good account size? How much is optimum to have in the kitty and how much should be staked on each bet?

I'm thinking to build up to an account size of £1K and keep it at a grand. Withdraw anything over a grand and whenever the account falls under get it back to a grand.

But what do you know about speedway? Is there a 'home advantage', or are Coventry just shit at it? What factors can affect the result? It's going to rain heavily all day today, for example. Will this matter?

You do seem a little impulsive. Can't the making money wait until the season is in swing? As doubled says, bet on what you know, don't waste your winnings on 'learning' other leagues.
