Where did you guys place your bet?

I just placed my bet on Bet365. Are you doing it on Betfair?

So, to get this game right. If tonight between Forest and Brentford does end with more than 0.5 goals, does that mean tomorrow night we stake £10.50 on the next match?

Just spent the last half an hour catching up on this thread. Absolute gold .

TF you should just get out now.

Is ACCA that accountancy qualification. LOL why would this be referenced on the betting thread?

You can't get good at betting, its not something you can practice because you do not control the outcome. Its like roulette, you bet, the wheel spins and you either win or you don't. There are a lot more variables with roulette, unless you are betting on red or black but I think the analogy works quite well.

There is no such thing as a sure thing and as such you could bet on the favourite every time and still lose every time.

Ok, I have finished placing my bets for this evening. They are the following:

Brighton to win at home. £12.35 at 1.44 returns £17.83
Over 0.5 goals Brentford V Forest £10 at 1.05 returns £10.50
Chicago Cubs to beat the Brewers £10 at 1.47 returns £14.76

I'm thinking about whether to bet on over a certain amount of goals on Wealdstone tonight. They can't defend and they are good going forward. There has been 11 goals scored in their opening three games so far this season. Wealdstone results so far have been:

Dartford 2 - 2 Stones
Stones 2 - 2 St Albans
Stones 2 - 1 Margate

Every game has seen Over 2.5 goals so far. Tonight they are away to Oxford City. Last season, I think in April the score there was Oxford City 3 Stones 2.

Betting on over 2.5 goals must be a good bet.... Bet 365 are offering 1.7 on that. They are offering 2.62 on over 3.5 goals.

Because whenever Wealdstone play, it's goals galore. They can't defend to save their lives but they have a decent striker who scores with every chance he gets.

Last season, just a few months ago in April this fixture ended 3-2 to Oxford. So far this season every game that Wealdstone have played in has resulted in at least 3 goals being scored. 11 goals in three games so far.

I think there is a very good chance that it will happen. I would have liked the price to be a bit longer to make me really want to back it.

I think Wealdstone will definitely concede 2 goals tonight. I think they will get at least 1 goal themselves.

I might just leave it. I've got a few bets on tonight and I'll just see what happens with those. I'll look out for the Wealdstone result tonight and learn a bit more about the division and Wealdstone performances and results.

This is bollox as well (doubleD's rules are also shite)

Give me about two weeks and i'll post what you need to know up

i.e. time decay priceline* and what the price will move to if an event happens i.e. a goal

Anyone saying you can't bet in the first weeks, needs to think that this can represent
opportunity as well as difficulty. Each trade needs to be assessed individually.
