The knives are well & truly out for him now. Was reading some forums yesterday and most comments were "Talks a good game but no substance", "the players had no idea what they were supposed to be doing", "death by football" & also referring to his dossier of tactics.

Trophy-less, sure. But there wasn't a single Liverpool fan claiming the players had no idea what they were doing when they finished 2nd last season. Nor indeed when they went unbeaten for 12 games recently when Rodgers switched to 3-4-3.

Many Liverpool fans have made excuses about this seasons form by losing these two players. A sign of a good manager is overcoming these problems by grinding out results. BR has only one way of playing. No plan B or C - and that's be very evident this season and that's why Jose is the best manager.

If you wanted to pick at Liverpool or Rodgers there are loads of things you could easily have gone for. But to say they got lucky that a player scored loads, when he has a history of scoring loads, seems odd.

By luck - I mean they're attacking force last season was so good it kinda hid their defensive incapabilities, certainly against the lesser sides. Suarez looked World Class against the likes of Norwich but his scoring record against the top sides was poor.
