No Fixed Abode
Sanguine
No Fixed Abode Ricky Lambert decides to stay at Liverpool.

Bad move imo. They've ruined him.

Like Balotelli, it was a pretty nonsensical signing, since he doesn't fit their style of play.

Still, if I was 32, had more money than I could ever spend and had been signed a few months ago by the club I supported, I'd probably stick around too.

That depends how driven you are to succeed. I'd be very surprised if Lambert were included in the next England squad, with the lack of game time and the emergence of Harry Kane and Charlie Austin.

It may have been a dream of his to move to his boyhood club, but with the poor form of Balotelli, injury to Sturrdige, he must be pretty annoyed at the amount of minutes he's had on the pitch this season.

Dont think you can say doing x means you are driven whereas doing y means you are not. Life just isn't as simple as that.

He could easily see going somewhere like Villa as not much of a challenge where as staying at a club who aim to stretch themselves by qualifying for the CL where he is not currently a starter as much more of a challenge and he is so driven he wants to stay and prove himself.

life is rarely so black & white, Kes

I don't understand why Rhodes is being shut out at Blackburn - surely with him and Gestede they would be deadly

He's on shit loads of money there and may have all manner of clauses and trigger points in his contract. Blackburn have serious FFP issues and would be keen to shift their highest earner off the payroll.

Milner to Valencia has been talked up in the media for 6 months or more.

reckon he could do pretty well over there tbh.

Always thought Milner is one of those players who, if he was say Italian, would get much higher praise than he does being English. Vastly underrated player, who has suffered as a result of being happy to do a job wherever rather than being able to play in his favoured position.

Will do very well if he goes abroad.

Unfortunately, while it's an admirable quality in England, just being able to run around a lot is not a trait that will help someone succeed in La Liga.

Would probably make a genuine effort to learn the language as well.

With the pressure off for all but four games a year and more easy goals available, Milner should do quite well in la liga.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas
Ben Gladwin
Massimo Luongo

all on their way to QPR. Gladwin and Luongo for £3.5m from Swindon. Also Alex Pearce now on their radar.

QPR continue to spend beyond their means and get away with it.
