Winston Smith wild claims with a failure to back it up, fLOLailing from one post to the next, accusations at other posters....

this is beginning to have the hallmarks of kesmeltdown#2

Imagine getting in a tizzy as Winston is, because a team which isn't even in the division of the team she supports won the league.

From Despair To Where?

Well done Kes, you took that completely out of context which does beg the question, what are you, desperate, thick or deperately thick?

Considering the context came from one of your own posts, my bet is desperately thick.

But thank you for re-enforcing the point that Chelsea have won 50% more trophies in the 12 years Abramovich owned the club than in the preceding 98 years.

Lets forget Spurs have heavily invested in recent seasons but pretty much won squat. But yes, ignore this fact and name call. RattLOLed.

Chelsea nett spend 2003-2015 - £570,000,000

Spurs nett spend 2003-2015 - £94,000,000

In fact since 2010, Spurs have been nett sellers to the tune of £22,000,000. Over the same period, Chelsea have a nett spend of £274,000,000. Don't let the facts get in your way though.

Still, that has nothing to do with my point that you originally quoted which was about the period up to 2003.

They still spent over £100m two season ago. Which trophies have they won in that time?

Quote changing. Massively rattLOLed there Sandy.

The season is over now - you can calm down from your rage that we won the league.

You really do struggle with the concept of nett spending don't you?

Not at all.

Whichever way you look at it - Spurs sold Bale for £85 and spent £103m on numerous players to strengthen the team. The last season Bale was there (2012/2013) Spurs got 72 points. In 2013/2014 they got 69 points and the season just gone they managed 64 points. A steady decline.

Net or gross spend is irrelevant if you don't win anything.

But they SOLD £83 million worth of player. They didn't keep their star(s) and spend/strengthen.

Of course net spending is relevant, m8.

They tried to strengthen and failed miserably. They brought in Paulinho, Lamela, Chadli, Soldado, Chiriches, Erikson - so you saying they didn't spend is wrong. They spent £103m

Newcastle have a healthy bank balance with transfers in and out. Must be better to do that than win trophies.

No m8, I'm saying the club subtracted £83m of value before adding £103m, meaning a net spend / net increase in value of £20m.

They sold Bale, m8. They didn't keep him and spend 103m.

Watching Kes flail at a discussion is like watching a fish trying to breath on the beach. It's both pathetic and upsetting.

I said they spent £103m - you said they didn't spend anything. In that case

I sold a few bits and bobs last week on Ebay for £300. On Sunday I went out in London and didn't spend £200 on an all dayer......I got it all for free. :|

Mourhino wins the LMA top boss of the Prem.....despite Pearson (probably in the grand scheme of thing), achieving so much much more.

Grats Jose.....all of the managers want to be you.

Barclay's Premier League manager of the year too. 8)

Rightly so after they snubbed him for every manager of the month award.

Slightly irritated that Sky announced Howe was the first Championship manager to win the LMA award since Danny Wilson in 1997.
