The quality on display was embarrassing, as was the goal, as was Spurs playing for time from the moment they took a spawny lead.

Son looks like if he was a horse he'd already be glue.

Amorim will turn it round if he gets the time, however he sometimes doesn’t help himself e.g. why was Garnacho not starting or at least coming on sooner?

I also was surprised at half time to see no substitutions.

No subs until the 71st minute was shocking really. Particularly as they looked absolutely hopeless, toothless and completely inept.

Brobot won’t show his face.

Understandable. Losing is ok, but not like that. To Spurs ffs. And after all those shit results in the Premiership.

The issue there at the mo is you have a manager who is wedded to a way of playing 3-4-2-1 but has a squad who simply cannot play that way to a high enough standard.

That leaves Utd with a stark choice - back Amorim to completely reshape the squad to his needs - a tough ask when funds are allegedly tight and the club are probably in their least marketable state in decades or get rid an hire a pragmatic manager who will find the formation to fit the players.

The only other option is for Amorim to rip up his principles and I don't see him doing that, he'd much rather fail his way there (and probably succeed elsewhere) than succeed there doing something he doesn't want to do.

The other point Utd need to look at is why do players look so much better once they leave, certainly in recent times - McTominay, Anthony & Rashford have looked different, better players since being away from OT.

Man United knew this before they hired him, there's a reason why he didn't really want to take over mid-season. They should have had the balls to get him in last summer. Instead they've done the worst thing possible and got a manager with the wrong players who were already undermotivated and made it so much more difficult to recruit better ones this summer. Ineos just aren't very good at running sports teams.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable sackign (although I really like Amorim - seems a really nice/genuine guy). Then a summer of hope as they bring in some new foreign manager, and talk of "we're going to get back to challenging for the top four".

Then August when they probably will wheel out Paul Pogba and Maguire up front.

Reports that the last round of redundancies was based on the assumption the club would be in the Europa League or higher for the next four seasons, so another round of extensive cuts expected very soon.

I know it's a business but it's disgusting to think of "normal" people losing their £20k a year jobs whilst the club jizz away more than this shipping players to games, or on goal bonus payments.

This. Sack a load of the hard working decent people from the back room and put the money saved into buying an overpriced Cuhna.

How about being ethical and putting the workers first?

Or does he expect the government to bale him out like he seems to think the local council will stump up cash for the nice new shiny plastic stadium.

Not sure they're spending much on goal bonuses.

100% agree with your point though. Maybe Casimero could donate a week's wages and pay 15 employees' wages for a year.

Hopefully, it's toxic at OT tomorrow!

I genuinely feel the scousers would have removed the Glazers by now if they owned LFC but for some reason we haven't burned the stadium to the ground!

I heard that they tried but the rainwater cascading through the roof put it out.
