Southend turn it around from 3-1down away to Rochdale after 56 minutes, to bring it level and then go on and win it 4-3 in extra time

into the semi's against Forest Green they go

Sanguine Football. Sigh. Terrific angle of Sunderland's late winner here. Camera runs into the chaos.

I know it's all rage bait, but I was listening to TalkSport (unsure why, as I loath many of the presenters). There were two morons on, who I quickly recognised as being Jermain Jenas (he's back??!!) and Jermaine Pennant.

It was suggested - possibly not by them, but by someone, that fans are over celeberating, with people pointing to the Sunderland crowd.

I honestly couldn't believe it. Football fans are the weirdest breed. Everything is legendary, amazing, "limbs" when it's your club... but when it's others it's embarassing, tinpot, cringe.

Saying that most do understand the Sunderland celebration - how can you not? Even a last minute winner in a normal league game feels unbelievable. So let alone a 120 minute, death or glory game to possibly get to the premier league.

I hear similar things though, like "can't believe they celebrated so much for getting 6th spot play offs" or "it was only the uefa conference league". Bitterness everywhere.

Indeed. Heard it from Liverpool fans after the 2-2 at Goodison. 'Limbs for a draw, their Cup final' etc. Erm, they've just scored a 96th minute leveller in the last ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, their last ever game under the lights.

Full-strength Utd team, Spurs reserves fielded tonight

You know how the narrative goes on Wednesday night

Well, both clown clubs lost again, rest assured.

Before one of them qualifies for the Champions League next week.

I know, I know, they are not trying in the League.

Did you get a refund on your flights/Wembley area hotel etc?

I'm at a stage where I'll genuinely be sympathetic to Spurs fans if we beat them on Wed.

A horrific season for both that one team will be rescued from

Proper Spurs to beat a team 3 times in a season and then lose when it really counts

And Utd will go into the game as the only unbeaten team in European competition to lose when it really counts

Mason Mount gets booed by Chelsea fans, looking forward to them getting the same media stick as Liverpool fans over TAA.

Oh, I forgot, Liverpool aren’t a London club and/or media darlings.

Booing when a player has come back is different to booing whilst the player is on the pitch still playing for your club.

Sorry not watching it, as you’ve posted these pix I assume City didn’t get a free kick and/or the keeper didn’t go for a short walk up a long tunnel?

Game played on. VAR said no action as the ball was heading away from goal so no DOGSO. It was only heading away from goal though after the keeper slapped it away from Haalands foot (from outside the area)

The VAR idiots do seem to love showing themselves up on these occasions. Pleased though as obvs. want Palace to win.
