Anyone would think this is the last break before the transfer window opens.

Anyway Chris Wilder appointed at Boro. Should be a good appointment, if last season hasn't dented him too much.

They have done well to get him, he could do a bit better than them imo.

Hassenhuttl yet again being linked with bigger jobs than Southampton. It baffles me to the point I wonder what on earth I must have missed in him that everyone else apparently sees?!

He jumps around a bit, gives a good interview. He's a bit like a budget Klopp.

Wonder if Norwich sacked Farke, thinking Wilder might be the best option, only to find out he has signed for Boro. They must have a plan surely. If we haven't heard in the next few days I'm wondering whether their plan is in tatters in that department and that was their only plan.
Have to say I like Farke, I think he is a good manager...I'd take him if we were looking, which we are not.....

Why do managers always get sacked before the break? Is there a reason for it? Maybe more time to spend with players who aren't away

That, if they have a replacement ready to go or if not gives them 2 weeks to interview and appoint before the next game.

Happy for Moyes

Was never comfortable with the shafting that he got at Man U and the national press cooments at the time.

Another tick in the CV box today

Always thought Moyes was a good fit for the Shammers - was hung out to dry at Utd and there wouldn't have been a manager in the world that would have kept that Sunderland team up (so bad, in the next season they were relegated from the Champ.) so was surprised when he left them first time round!

Interesting that they’re playing decent football as well.
I thought the Hammers fans wanted him out because he didn’t play that way

Moyes has done amazing and players clearly like him. West Ham to do a Leicester? Can you imagine.

This is now sacking season, i expect a couple more today, wouldnt be surprised. Managers becoming available and the two week window are all factors.

I feel a bit dirty cheering on West Ham, but Moyes has made them likeable.

If Ralph is strongly linked to Villa, that will infuriate Eddie Howe. That is the one job he wants.... this could get interesting.

Sky Sports reporting that Villa want either Roberto Martinez or Steven Gerrard, to replace Dean Smith. I think both are a stretch, maybe less so Gerrard.

I am surprised that Thomas Frank hasn't been mentioned, think he'd be a good fit at Villa.
