Chelsea looking into the possibility of a Stadium at Battersea Power Station.

Don't think there's a hope in hell personally but you just never know when moneys involved.

It would pretty much cement their place as most hated club in the land if they destroyed one of the country's most iconic buildings.

If it were Battersea power station with a football ground inside it, it could be amazing.

It's a grade II listed building.

I reckon the Manchester City v Chelsea Europa Cup Final will be a fantastic game in May 2012.

Tell me about it.

If they do it, I'd wager they'd make a dog's dinner of it. The idea is absolutely barking mad.

That's what I think. If done well it would turn into one hell of an iconic stadium but at the same time I'm normally not one for old landmark buildings being touched

Yeh, The stumbling block would be that I have no real concept of how easy getting 60,000 seats in would be.

They can fit a pitch in there and 40,000 without too much issue using my very basic measuring tool on google maps (comparing it to Emirates), but getting a 60,000 seats in there would be more of a challenge.

For example, it would have to be a lot steaper than emirates is (although emirates is a massive oxf*rd bowl so perhaps not that hard), it would end up being a more traditional cramped over the pitch type stadium if they can fit it in (and the better for it). But I can't measure how tall emirates is on this map compared to battersea.

But it has potential to be iconic if the space is big enough.

It would be epic to get Battersea and turn it in to a special stadium, unlike the identikit ground you guys play in.

And even Blackburn was a scuzzy 1-0, whilst Genk are so poor they shipped 7 last night.

The proposals actually suggest that the new ground would be built next door. With hotels and shops used to renovate and reuse the power station. Like a modern day Burnden Park.
