SanguineZammoChelsea striker Patrick Bamford has joined Burnley on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old has not featured for the Blues since joining them from Nottingham Forest in January 2012.
The England Under-21 man has had loans with MK Dons, Derby, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Norwich.
Why do CheLOLsea keep hold of these players? Utterly pointless that they hold his contract when he will never EVER play for the first team. Fancy your career being a series of loan moves. Unbelievable.
Thought exactly that earlier - and in addition, he has shown in that series of loan moves to be nowhere near the required level. What a waste of a career.

NewCorkSeth Isn't Victor Moses kinda proving this wrong this season?

Or the exception to the rule. Remains to be seen whether he remains a fixture in their team. Good on him for forcing his way in and he has obviously impressed Conte so far this season.
The likes of Hector must wonder what the future holds though. He gets sent out to Frankfurt, Miazga out on loan too - and they sign Luiz and Alonso in his position.

Sanguine This is where I think the financial might of the big clubs needs to be regulated.
Chelsea have the financial capacity to vacuum up players of potential - or even middling players who have had a good season, like Hector.
Lucas Piazon has gone to Fulham, his 5th loan since joining Chelsea in 2012. He joins Tomas Kalas at Craven Cottage, who came to Chelsea in 2010 and has played four games for the club; he is on his 5th loan deal too. Miazga is 21, has played twice for Chelsea, and is farmed out to Vitesse. Christian Atsu was considered one of Africa's next stars when he signed in 2013, but he has never played for the club - also on his 5th loan deal. Nathan Ake is third loan - at least he's pulled on a blue shirt a few times.
It's good that these players are still getting a career (to an extent) and that their ownership by Chelsea hasn't stunted that. But they aren't benefiting from being a Chelsea player by means of their facilities or access to coaching - they are based with their loan side. These players should be playing at Fulham, Vitesse, Reading, Watford, wherever, as permanent signings - other clubs, not always the big ones, should see the benefits of such talent emerging.
The list of players on loan from City - Hart, Bony, Nasri, Mangala. Those four would walk into most teams in the league.
