Looking at the overall shape, I would say it is a vast improvement on the Mad Stad especially as the concourses are bowed.

Skin Like our ground no boozer anywhere near?

Dunno - but at least Falmer itself has a railway station so you should be able to have a few beers in the city centre before jumping on the train to the ground.

Spoke to a STH there today.. seriously p*ssed off with his club.

1. STH do not get priority booking on away games ( I explained our points system)
2. All fans have been invited to visit the ground and select their preferred seat for the new ground
- Priority was given to fans who've held a ST for more than 9 years
- My mate turns up in a full room, but only a handful like him have had a ST for more than 9 years, some didn't even have one. They were all allowed to buy them
- They were not allowed in the ground to check view lines as promised, but had to do with a computer graphic
- They were told they were doing putting the fans first... except all the mid-tier of the main stand and centre of the opposite stand have been reserved for 'corporates' (these have exceeded expectations)
- They were given the choice to pay a large sum (£500-1000k, can't remember) to reserve their ST for x years 'bloody time-share scheme'

We are lucky to have our club

Who Moved The Goalposts? Is it me, or does that playing area look quite small?

It doesn't look small to me, but the stands do look very shallow.

It has one large 3 tier stand and three single tier low capacity stands.

It does, but it looks like anyone not in the upper tiers of the main stand is going to have a view that's at best mediocre.

It has a nice main stand, but the other three sides are shit. I'd swap their main stand for ours, but not any of the rest of the ground.

One + is that it has a train station

Who is paying for all this?

It should be better than ours, as ours was built 12 years ago. You wouldn't buy a new car and expect it to be the same shape and have the same spec as the model bought out 12 years previous.

Think the chairman has put some in and raised some funds from the local community too - could be wrong though.

Station was already there, it's just a two platform halt though akin to Reading West - not sure it'll be able to cope without some redevelopment,if they start to get decent crowds.

TBF, there won't be a problem with anyone getting a seat at L1 away games. They wouldn't be allowed to tour the site as it's probably still controlled by the builders, so they'd need a H&S briefing and hard hats etc.

It's not too long ago that RFC proposed the East stand expansion that would have taken out the middle rows of the east stand for a better class of supporters, moving STHs that have sat there since it opened.

Just been reading NSC and it looks like BHA did a pretty reasonable job organising the sales, they set appointment times over a number of days. One strange thing was that a STH could buy 3 extra tickets so friends could site together. I

They're expecting to pretty well sell out just with STHs, so they need to fill to corners of the ground with seats at some point.

Brighton being bankrolled by professional gambler and poker player Tony Bloom.

As for the ST issues mentioned above, my m8 from uni is a Brighton fan and went to his ST presentation this week and was raving about it, so no complaints from him.

Drove past it a few hours ago and you hardly notice it coming from the Lewes direction.
As you can see from the picture it is right next door to the dual carriageway so getting away should not be a great problem.
It looks quite possible that we will be playing there,at Pompey again,Southampton and possibly Bournemouth so I for one am following the Div 1 table with interest especially as 3 of those are much nearer for me than Reading and Brighton is about the same.
