Schards#2 Whilst Man Utd are dogshit, I'm tempted by the 8/1 on offer.

Can't see Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs lasting the season, City are awful away, which leaves just Chelsea to beat and they don't look gr8 either.

Lasting the season would suggest the teams mentioned are up there now. Spurs have fallen away to mid table already. Yesterdays performance has ended any lingering hopes for them. I think you will be throwing your money away Schards. I can see United having a real battle for top 4 (probably with Liverpool).

United are 11.0 on Betfair now. I'm not really a fan of long term bets, but there is value in that.

For comparison... City 2.8, Arsenal 4.5, Chelsea 5.5 and Liverpool 8.0....

Spurs are only 4 points off 2nd. They were comprehensively beaten at the weekend and have been playing pretty poorly but saying that a team just 4 points off second has no hope left is a bit of an exaggeration. Especially when one considers that there are a mere 26 games left to play.

Yes, yes I did, hence why I said Sparta hadn't mentioned Cardiff beating Manchester CITY.

Starfers, the discussion was about winning the league not how many points they are behind second. 12 games in and they are down in 9th place. Have a goal difference comfortably in the minus column. Have only scored 9 goals of which 3 were very dodgy penalties. Their last outing was a 6 - 0 defeat and they are playing utter dog shit. They have virtually no chance of winning the league mate as even the most ardent Spurs fan would admit. I believe a certain high street bookmakers (who are rarely wrong) are offering 150/1.

I agree with all of this and I never thought that Spurs would win the league this season. I was just speaking from a 'theoretical' standpoint.

I noticed the other day that Utd were flogging tickets on Groupon.

Now 12/1

The only team significantly ahead of them are Arsenal and there's no way Arsenal won't go through the whole season without a horrendous bad patch of 6-7 games. United have a relatively easy December too. I'm going in.

hope it pays off. It'd be a disaster for English football if Arsenal were to win it.

Yep, can't see Utd being out of the race come March, should shorten to somewhere south of 4 or 5/1

This is a different Arsenal. They might fail to beat the other top teams but I don't think they'll be having a "horrendous bad patch of 6 or 7 games".

If they didn't have Ozil and Flamini and this season's Ramsey and Giroud, then maybe yes, but they are so much better than last year's team which finished 4th.

At 11/8 NOT to finish in top 4.... Deep down bookies are not confident they will win title. Schards you are wasting your money. They are the worst they have been in years.

They don't need to win the title for it to be a decent bet though.

1-0 Everton 8)

Tell you what though, Everton look very very good. Barry putting a strong case forward for World Cup inclusion. Barkley's gonna be special.

Everton looked very good indeed. Great blend of tenacity and good passing.

"After 12 seasons David Moyes finally gets to see Everton win at Old Trafford".
